I am trying to create a "Mortgage Payoff Request" custom form. I would like to have Point automatically populate some existing fields (Borrower name, SSN, address fields), as well as allow me input specialized info for each borrower (such as account number of mortgage to be paid off, payoff fax number).

I have tried two methods, both failed: I have tried making a custom Payoff screen in Point  and create new custom fields, but then I can't add existing fields of Name, SSN, etc.

Alternatively, I have imported a Word document and populated it with the existing Point fields of Name, SSN, etc but when I input the field IDs for my custom fields (they are 9901, 9902, etc) they won't populate. So, I can get EITHER new fields OR existing fields to populate, but not both together. Can someone help?

THANK YOU!

Here's a simplistic solution:

Insert an "Ask" field in your custom document where you want to enter individual data. Each time the document merges, it will ask you to input these other fields.

Also, you should be able to use fields from a custom screen along with standard fields. I'm not sure why you're having a problem merging both types in the same document. I have never had a problem doing this.
