Problem 1:

Is it possible to run Point installed on two different terminal servers and use the same Point database files? I attempted to do once but when I connected to the data files on one of the terminal servers it would lock users from accessing the data files on the other terminal server. Has anyone come across this problem before? Any solution or help you can provide will be greatly appreciated. We are using Point version 5.4.

 Problem 2:

We have been noticing that some of our Point files are for lack of a better word disappearing and we are not sure why this has been happening. We know people have used the files for weeks and then one day they try to access the files and their gone. Again we are using Point version 5.4 and any insight you might have on what could be causing this problem with be appreciated.

Had the same problem. Simply had to edit the winpoint.ini file to give them their private work folder:

User=C:\WINPOINT\user\"username"

Each user should have a winpoint.ini file in their \document and settings\"username"\windows folder

I t does not HAVE to be c: from what I understand, but it works for me, and you need to create that folder as well.
