| | With this new version....There will be a date printing on page 4 of the 1003. It is being pulled by Interfaces/Fannie Mae/Addedum. There a date will appear. Today's date. Unless you are looking up one of your older but still open files. The date that appears is the date that the "Template was Made" ie: 5/27/2003.... So if I don't catch the old files when they go to closing the final 1003 is out of complainance b/c the date is so old.... |

| | We had the same problem when initially upgrading to 6.1. What I did to fix the problem was to open the template and delete the date that is currently populated in the Interviewer's Signature Date field (more than likely it will be the date that you've quoted here). Leave it blank on the template and save it. That's fixed things for us. |

| | We noticed this too. It inserted what appears to be the date the software was updated to 6.1 into all of the master files. Now that we've gone and deleted this date from every single master file, it still populates a date the first time you go to page 4. At least now it's "today's date" instead of the software upgrade date, but we still have to delete it on every file before sending out docs. Wouldn't it make much more sense to let the interviewer fill in the date by hand at the same time they sign the 1003? This is terribly annoying. |

| | You are so right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Plus I'm out of Compliance.....The date is to old. Something like 5/24/03...That's when I made this template. And all the old files that have not closed yet have the same problem so I must always delete it.... What's the point of the date ANYWAY........................ I should have never downloaded 6.1.................. |

| The field is the Interviewer's Signature Date, it was never noticed before because it was found only in the Fannie Mae Addendum screen. When a new file was created, the field auto-populates with that date, meaning the date a master file was created will have that date in the field. This was an unintended result some changes we made for interfaces in Point.
We will correct the problem in the next release, due out in September, so it will let the person enter their own date. I apologize for the inconvenience.

| | Just discovered this bug as well. After looking for a solution here I was able to figure one out for myself, at least for files created using a Borrower Master. In your master file, if you leave that field blank then Point will use today's date instead (or the template saved date or whatever). However if you put SOMETHING in this field, that will always be used. A space doesn't work, neither does a hyphen, but a period does. Better yet, a character called a "no-break space" works and is invisible. You can type this character by holding ALT and pressing 0160 (with num-lock on) or by opening C:\windows\system32\charmap.exe and copy/pasting the blank character in the fifth row. So type or paste this character into the Signature Date field in your Borrower Master, save it, and now this field will print blank when files are created with this master. You could do a data import to overwrite this field in old files as well. |

| That's a great workaround. I'll try it today.
Thanks, |
