| Any assistance or guidance would be greatly appreciated from anyone who has had this issue and/or resolved this issue. 1. My database is fine on all other PC's. My PC is the only one having this issue in my office. 2. We are running Point 6.0b via our Server with a Network Configuration. 3. My Point System Information is the same as our other PC's. Yet, for some reason, it seems my Cardex Database Registry link is not the correct registry to access our Cardex. I see the difference in the registry settings from my computer compared to others, yet I don't know how to tell my pc to use the correct registry link. Has anyone else run into this issue? Your help is greatly appreciated! |

| | cardex does not us the registry any longer. the setting is now controlled in the winpoint.ini under the directory section templates= double check you can still reach that path and the database subfolder.

| | Thanks for the reply. The path in my Calyx Point System information is the same as our other PC's. What would I have to do/check to ensure that my PC is actually getting to that path? What would be happening that I could not get to that path? Oh, and by the way, when trying to access the Cardex, this error message led me to believe that it was a registry issue: "Cardex Upgrade Error - System.Data.OleDb.OleDbException: Cannot open a database created with a previous version of your application." |

| What version of windows are you running on? and what version of Point? It may be that MDAC or Jet is not the version we want to use with the database.

| | Actually that may have been just the last step. If you can go to http://databases.aspfaq.com/database/why-can-i-not-open-a-database-created-with-a-previous-version.html and follow the instructions they outline.
