I am trying to prevent my loan officers from being able to use the Delete feature.  What I am seeing is that instead of doing their turn down paperwork they just delete the files and I need to stop this!  Anyone know how?

Thanks in advance for your help!

There is a security feature that you can use to prevent this, but unfortunately, it will also greatly handcuff your loan officers from being able to do other functions that you probably need them to do.

Short of Calyx making the security settings more robust, your options are pretty much punitive consequences for deleting files or using the security settings and possibly limiting the loan officers from being able to do things you may need them to do.

Simple, have an office meeting and tell them the next person that deletes a file from Point gets fired.  And mean it.  That ought to fix it.

You could remove their right to secure areas.

Yes the way to do this is like Calyx said restrict the loan officers. But there is a major problem along with that. I have 5 loan officers and I allow them "Read Only" for their files. This way they can't see what the other loan officers are doing. Once they hand in that loan it is changed to "Read Only".

Now I have a Account Executive that needs to be able to see his loan officers pipeline. Not all the loan officers!!!! Just his 1 or 2.

I have to code him a processor in order for him to see the files. Otherwise he would see all the loan officers. There is no other choices except Loan processor/Loan underwriter. Calyx needs to have Account Executive. That's what Banks have.

PS: watch out on the final 1003 you must delete the so called interviewer. It comes up with that A/c Executives name.

Calyx is NOT built for BANKERS.

You could have your three users share the same data folder.

I think I know what you mean. Representative(loan officer), Processor and underwriter.

But if I put the loan Officer on Read Only....his files only. the Account Executive can not follow his loan officers....

Unless you have another way of doing it. When I called I was told there was no other way.

I was thinking one data folder that is read only for the two loan reps and the AE.  The only other user you give access to is a processor.  The AE could then have access to all files.

I understand that you would have a lot of datafolders with this methodology but how does it not meet your needs?

Are you using PDS?

In general I see a need to allow user x to have access to a data folder and only for a certain subset of loan reps or processors.  This kind of functionality drastically reduces headaches.
