I have stumbled across another Calyx issue of late for new users that I have been adding to my TS environment.  The new users added have access to the data folders (Prospect/Borrowers) but have no files shown in Loan Search results (when searches queried).  The only way to open a data file is to click File -> Open File...  I have tried the Rebuild Index function but that generates an error stating "Unable to Rebuild Index File.  The File is in use."  In addition, when I generate a new file and attempt to save the file, I receive the same error.

Does anyone have any ideas what is causing this?  Currently, 7 existing users aren't experiencing troubles, only the 2 new users I have tried adding to the Calyx system.

Thanks in advance for any help or advice anyone can offer.

I would try looking at the user's winpoint.ini file. Most likely the new users INI file doesn't have the right settings for some reason. You said they have access to the folders, does that mean they are accessible through point w/o doing a file/open?

Thank you for your reply and I'll take a look at their INI file again.  As far as their access to the folders, they have the file permissions set on the Windows side for their access, and in the Search Loans, Data Folders field, I am able to see that their are other data folders listed (as referenced in their INI file).

Primary Data Folder
Tims Data Folder
Sues Data Folder

However, when I click on the Prospect or Borrower fields and attempt to a Search, no results are found.  In order to open one of their files, I have to click File, Open File, etc.

Thank you for your suggestions and as stated, I'll review the INI file for differences.

I have reviewed two users' winpoint.ini files, one user that can access the Index (search/create new files) and one that cannot for the same Primary Data File Location (\\server\shared\calyx-XYZ\PNTDATA).  The only difference that I see are their user names (where applicable) and the ClassName=AFX...

I have deleted the user's TS Profile and Home directory and started from scratch with same results.  In addition, I have copied a working INI file and replaced with user's identity with the same results as well as logged in once to allow a default INI file to be created and then added the custom values on my own (Folder locations, template location, User, and Temporary).

Any suggestions from this point?

Thank you,

-JRice

RESOLVED.  Please disregard my previous posts as I found the issue.  In my INI file, I direct each user to their own directory and underneath of that, I have a work directory for each user.  When I went back on the server storing the Calyx data files, I noticed that for my new users, I neglected to manually create the work directory under their User folder.  When I went back and added the directory, all is working correctly.

I apologize for the confusion for my oversight.

THank you for your suggestions though.
