I have two PCs running Windows XP.  I have set up the Point Data folders on one PC and shared the folder with the other so myself and my processor are working from the same files.  We are connected via a Linksys wireless network.

I have no trouble accessing the file via the network (the Point Data folders are on the Processor's PC) but moving from one field to another in the loan file is excruciatingly slow.  I get an hour glass icon for up to 30 seconds just moving from one field to another.

Any suggestions on how to speed up the connection?  I'm not an IT person so please reply accordingly.

Thanks

Mike Mullin

It's not really a network problem. Can you check the following on your computer?

Available hard disk space & Amount of RAM on your computer.

Thanks,

Bryan

Brian, I apologize but I did not realize someone had responded to my question.

The "host" computer has 8.5 GB left out of a total of 38 GB.

RAM is 512 MB.
