I had all my point files on my old laptop which had ver. 5.6. I tried to rebuild them on my new lap top which has ver. 6.0, but once I rebuilt the list...When I tried to open the files in 6.0, I get this error message box."Incorrect File Format" " Unable to read the file because it has an incorrect format or it has been corrupted. (Note: After the rebuild, the only column that is populated is the File Name colunm.  all others, Borrower,Loan Status, Processor, Loan Rep are blank.)  But like i said when I try to open the File Name i get that error message???Any suggestions on a fix ?

Can you open any of the files by navigating to them? In other words, go to File > Open File ... and navigate to the files and double-click on it.

Another option would be to empty out the point data directory and try copying the files again. Sometimes you can get weird glitches. I can say that I have done the very thing you're talking about and indexing worked just fine so there is something amiss in the operation.

To restore the data to the files, if you can get in the file. Double click to open the file, click the "Save" button twice then close the file. This sounds rather silly but it works 90% of the time, especially if you are running PDS.
