I am strongly considering purchasing Point.  I need a software that will populate certain fields in Word docs (e.g., deeds of trust) I have created.  Am I correct that Point will populate all standard fields (e.g., legal description, name, date, etc.)?  The woman who gave me the Point demo today didn't know anything about custom forms.

My other question is whether I can add fields to Point.  For example, I will be using one document that will refer to the amount of delinquent taxes that our borrower owes a particular county.  I would like to be able to input the amount of the taxes, the particular taxing county(ies), and the name of the county tax assessor in Point and then have my custom forms automatically populated.

I would greatly appreciate any responses on this.  Alternatively, I'd love a referral for someone at Calyx who can answer my questions (I've read this message board and the user manual already).  Lastly, I'd love to review a list of all fields in Point if one exists.

Thanks.

Any field in point will be accessible in the custom form.  You cannot arbitrarily add fields to point but point offers 4 custom screens each screen has 25 files you can customize.  You cannot do calculations on these custom screens ( could in the word custom form ).  But I think they will offer you a place to store the data you want to print.

Thanks.  When you say the 4 custom screens have 25 "files" each, what do you mean by files?  Are you saying that each screen has 25 data input options/areas that could be used to populate fields in a form?
