I completely agree with you, al of this is unnecessary!! Will there be a fix to this any time soon?????? As of 6.1, you still have to produce a PDF once as an admin. |

| If install succeeded, and the PDFInstall.exe finished, you should NOT need admin rights during first creation of the PDF. Can you go to c:\winpoint and run PDFinstall.exe? You will get an Amyuni Document Converter dialog. Please copy and paste the entire output results.
Thanks.

Thanks.Sure. It didn't have a copy/paste option, so I had to type it and I can't guaratee there are no typos (I don't type very well). I logged into a machine that was running Point 6.0b as an admin user. I ran the install for 6.1 and selected the Upgrade option. The install wizard indicated it was successful. I logged out and logged back in as a non-admin user and ran PDFinstall.exe and this was the output: Windows 2000/XP/2003 Install _________________________________________ Checking for existing PDF printer _________________________________________ Copying acfpdfu.dll file Error Code: 5 Access is denied. _________________________________________ Copying acfpdui.dll file Error Code: 5 Access is denied. _________________________________________ Copying acfpdf.dll file Error Code: 5 Access is denied. _________________________________________ Copying cdintf.dll file Error Code: 5 Access is denied. _________________________________________ Copying acXMLParser.dll file Error Code: 5 Access is denied. _________________________________________ Copying Amyuni PDF printer driver Error Code: 5 Access is denied. _________________________________________ Copying Amyuni PDF printer Error Code: 5 Access is denied. _________________________________________ Prinr Error Code: 5 Access is denied. _________________________________________ Then I opened Point and attempted to save a form as a PDF. The error is definitely appearing as Activation Error: Printer not activated, error code -41. The only way I have to get around this is to create a PDF as an admin user right after installing the upgrade. |

| | Same result after installing 6.2. You have to actually log in as an admin and create a PDF, or non-admins will get error code -41. Running Point as an admin while logged in as a non-admin won't do it. |
