We have a problem,  We must allow our LO's to move and copy files, but do not want them to have access to "Secured Areas".  Just this Friday, a LO went into Company Defaults and changed the setting from "manual" to "automatic".

This caused all documents at all branches to have the Corporate Address and Phone numbers AUTOMATICALLY populate on the Application documents.  We have 14 branches, with only one address matches corporate.

Needless to say, we have been chasing this tail now all week, and probably all next month.

Please, separate Copy and Move rights out of Secured Area rights.

Thanks,

John Hoopes

Thanks for your help,

John Hoopes

I requested this many years ago!  Please listen to us the secure area needs attention.  Reports needs to be moved out of the area as well.  You have given us the ability on each report to designated editing abilities but if the LO's are not given access to the secured area they can't edit reports anyway.

I'd like to second and third that...Please amend the security levels.  The way they are currently set up creates a ton of work for us, due to all of the work arounds.

I am adding my request for move/copy/delete to be removed from secured area.

I have a PDS installation of about 15 locations with about 100 users and they ALL need to be able to copy files to a secondary marketing folder, as well as copy files between their own in process, cancelled, and closed folders.  However, we do not want ANY of them to be ablet o edit company defaults to change an address, or modify drop down lists.

Access to those areas can cause users to make a mess of drop down lists and make changes to company defaults, effect large quantities of files.

It was suggested by other posters that you can deny regular users write access to folder.ini, which prevents them from making changes to company defaults or drop down lists, but this is pretty extreme.

Oh my goodness, no... Please do not remove move/copy/delete from being able to be secured.  I can't even begin to describe the compliance nightmares I'd have if that became the case.

Please please please remove it from the secured area. Now, I know that not everyone does business the same, so you should have an option built in where you can lock it down as needed, but including it in the secure area means that since we to allow our LO's and processors to move files, we cannot lock down access to menus such as the Company name/address, drop down menus, etc. This is a HUGE deal to us and it seems like looking at these forums it should have already been addressed. Do you all have anything planned for this?
