| | On the Borrower information screen, for the selections for Loan Officer, Processor, Loan Program and CC Scenario, is there any way to make the open, typable fields next to these boxes non-typeable, ie force the users to click on the button for their selections? We are having situations where because people are typing the information in the typeable fields, users and management are frustrated by misspelled, incorrect information being put in these fields. We run production reports by loan officer and processor and we are constantly fixing the names because people type the name in and even if it is spelled the same and the drop down, the loans will not show up under the individual. Am I missing a setting to grey out these fields so they need to click on the boxes instead of typing in the fields? Please help.

| | You're not missing a setting. These are "combo" boxes that allow typing as well as selection from the drop-down list. There are some more complicated technological approaches to solving this problem that would change the way these controls behave but the simplest approach would be to have a "come to Jesus" meeting with LO's and processors. I had a similar problem and solved it by: 1. Making sure everyone knew what I needed and why 2. Making sure they knew how to do it 3. Making them correct the entries themselves It also helped that their numbers showed lower than actual in production reports. LO's don't like that at all. Remember, whatever is measured improves. For future versions, Calyx could make this field do an auto lookup. This way, the names would come up as they type.
