| Ever since we upgraded to Point 5.4, we have had an ongoing issue with printing from print groups. Essentially we have a group defined that prints a total of roughly 26 pages of custom and standard forms. After about page 20, a group of about 5 to 10 “garbage pages” prints out, then another couple of “normal pages print out”. We have tried multiple printers locally connected, shared through the win 2k3 AD, and connected directly VIA TCP/IP all with the same results. We have tried multiple drivers for each printer “including PCL5e, PCL6, Post script, etc”.
Where should I even begin to look for the cause? |

| | I have seen this problem intermittantly, especially if you're printing some custom forms. Unfortunately, the only way I have been able to resolve this is to break the print jobs into multiple print groups. I am also careful to print out custom forms in a separate group from all the rest. I'm not certain yet but I think some of the problems that I have seen are related to custom docs interspersed in regular forms. This may have something to do with the version of Word and/or its configuration. Another issue I have seen is the way the print spooler is set up on each computer and the way each printer is configured (RAW mode, etc.) I can't remember the exact resolution but that may be an area to investigate. I actually had one printer that would print the document in mirror image form. I never figured that one out. I just got rid of the printer.
