| | One step I feel was missing, which cost me time, was to delete the admin and service virtual directories from under Default Web Page in IIS on the PDS. Once I installed PDS 5.1, I was unable to open the admin and service pages. I found a blurb under Appendix C (I think, the one about IIS), which said if you already have virtual directories called admin and service, you will need to delete them and re-install PDS. |

| | Normally, when you uninstall PDS 5.0, the uninstaller should delete the two virtual directories automatically. I found that this won't happen if you have the IIS Manager ope, if the properties of the default web site are open. Do you know by any chance if the IIS Manager was running?

| | Hmmmm..... I don't recall, it could possibly have been open. Either way, this is a good tip to have posted out here, it could be a big help to someone. Be sure to have IIS closed when uninstalling PDS 5.0, also, not a bad idea to go into IIS and make sure admin and service virtual directories deleted BEFORE you install PDS 5.1. |
