Our company is trying to decide whether or not to purchase Citrix and are currently running it in a test environment.  The only problem we are having is emailing forms from Point.  The error message I receive when trying to email a form is "Failed to create D:\USERS\NBROOKS\WINPOINT\WORK\Forms(Letter).pdf".  I click ok and an empty Outlook window opens with no attachment.  I can, however, select the "Save as PDF File" option from the print window and it works.  Also, I can email the Point data file just fine.

We are trying to use published applications, not desktops on Presentation Server 4.0 and 4.5.  Currently the two applications we have published are Point 5.4 and Outlook 2003.  Each user on the Citrix server has a separate Winpoint folder and winpoint.ini.  Outlook works great by itself so I've ruled that out as a cause of the problem.  I can email forms if I run Point within a published desktop, but I do not want to go that way if at all possible.

Also, I have checked Amyuni's forums and they don't really have much regarding Point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Is Outlook installed and configured on the same Citrix server as POINT?  You need only to install Outlook and set up all the profiles once and then it should work fine.  There is no need to permanently publish this instance of outlook if published on a different server...you just need to initialize all user profiles with the exchange settings.

We have a farm setup which includes 3 servers.  Point and Outlook are published on the farm and load balanced across all 3 servers.  The Outlook profiles have already been established for the users who are trying to email from Point.  However, I still get the error message "Failed to create W:\WINPOINT\WORK\Forms(Letter).PDF".

We have changed our environment slightly from the original post.  Now when a user logs in we have a login script that maps W:\ via the subst command to a local disk E:\home\%username%.  It then sets their Work and User folders to W:\winpoint\work and W:\winpoint\user respecively.  The script also modifies "C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\WINDOWS\winpoint.ini" to add folders that the specific user needs.

Any suggestions on why the Point won't create the PDF on a published app, but will work when using the ICA desktop?
