When I changed the line that points the application to H:\Winpoint, I received an error message so I had to change it back to c:\winpoint in order for it to run successfully.

Best Regards,

Sonya

I received the above message but I think I got pass the first by adjusting the .Net security trust level; however, I still receive this second message when I exit the program.

Best Regards,

Sonya

Sonya: the screen shot is too small. It looks like a security warning dialog, but I cannot tell  what .exe it's trying to run.

I can't make the image bigger once I upload to this board, but it is pntsupp.exe.

You'll need to add .net trust to pntsupp.exe and pointvendorupdate.exe as well.

Since I wrote the original post here, I get quite a few e-mails asking me if I would help out people's implementations. I'd love to help, but I'd rather use these forums to help. If you have questions about how I implemented Point or how to do x,y or z please post the questions here. That way not only my knowledge of Point is spread, but also many others can chime in and help. I'm currently avoiding side projects as much as possible (I'm finally learning how important my free time is)

BTW: Most of my e-mails ask if I will reply with the scripts I use.... Well these scripts are in the original post. Just copy and paste the scripts into individual VBS files. If you're not familiar with VBScript www.devguru.com has a great reference guide.

When I used the scripts above to upgrade to Point 5.2, it took me approx 10 minutes to upgrade all my users. I just installed the new upgrade, copied the Winpoint dir to d:\zWinpoint and I was done.

I had one problem which I don't know how to solve... When each user logged in, the new version of point is automatically copied to each user's profile. How do I make it so that users cannot close the cmd window that is running the copy? I had three users who closed the upgrade window down and they got a partial upgrade... My 10 minutes upgrade got bumped to 2 hours while I chased my tail figuring out what these three users with misc issues had in common.
