| | It would be great if Calyx would allow users to lock in their own office address on page 4 of the 1003. We have two branch locations and use one server. We have to either manually enter the address for each 1003 or change the auto-populated address for each application. Sometimes a LO will forget to enter an address, which effects several disclosures and the 1003 when they print without an address. Thank you! |

| You can setup a separate data folder for each branch. Each data folder will gain its own company defaults. Once you setup the address in Utilities, Company Defaults, just make sure the box "Enter company information manually on page 4 of the 1003" is not checked. From that point forward, the correct company address will automatically be printed on the apps from its respective data folder.

| | Regarding setting up a separate folder for each branch, it is really not as simple as this. We also have two branches and wanted to set up the folders per branch. However, because we have needed to setup different folders based on the status of the loan, (In process, Approved, Adversed, Closed, etc,) we would need to setup each of these folder for each branch for the office information to follow thru. This is one major area that Calyx needs to change - overall company decisions should not be based on folder rules, but under the utilities menu that effect every folder - another bad example of this is the dropdown for loan rep and processor. In order for a name to show up for either of these dropdowns, we are required to maintain the list in each folder - this is really unneccessary and very duplicative work. We use PDS and would like the username setup in PDS to follow over to the dropdown boxes for Loan Rep and Processor so we are not maintaning users multiple times in multiple places. The utilites menu should be for administrators to maintain the company wide defaults. Security should be enhanced to allow or prohibit based on user security setup.

| | I agree the security features need to be updated. Another way you could solve this, in the current version, is to setup prospect & borrower master templates with the company information pre-filled on page 4 of the 1003. Make sure the checkbox to "Manually enter company information on page 4 of the 1003" is checked in the Utilities section for all the data folders. In the PDS Admin site you can actually copy over all the defaults between data folders to save you the steps of manually adding or updating the same over information throughout the same data folders. Also, in PDS, if you don't give access to secured areas they won't be able to edit any of the company defaults.

| | Jeff, I have 4 branches and have the same issues you have stated in your post. I recently reviewed Point Data Server and found no changes in the way security is handled so we have decided not to switch. Bryan, Your suggestion for copying the data folder rights does work, but I have up to 25 users in two of my branches and that takes time per folder. If the change was branch wide it could be done in minutes.
