I have Point 5.3 setup on my machine at my desk (WinXP) and I can use the command line import.exe fine and have it create a Prospect, however when I run the import.exe on the Windows 2003 Server box from the command line, it will not create new prospects. The line is the exact same seeing as how I mirrored my machine to the folders of the server as well. Very confused... any ideas?

Is the same data folder path you are calling in your command line on the Win2003 machine shown in your \windows\winpoint.ini on that 2003 box?

Sorry, let me be more detailed.

The 2003 box has its own Point data folder, templates, etc. It's independent from my XP machine.

I stated my XP machine was a mirror as far as paths go to clarify I wasn't mistyping any of that in the import.exe command line.

And the winpoint.ini paths are all correct.

Am I missing something about copying certain files into another directory perhaps?

Sounds like you got it all setup. It's hard to troubleshoot on the forum.  If you have the integration guide, you can contact the support engineer's number listed in the guide.

So i'm one step closer to fixing my problem...

String that works..

c:\winpoint\import.exe "c:\txt\database.txt" "c:\pnttempl\dataimp\test.imp" "c:\pntdata\prospect"

String that doesn't work..

c:\winpoint\import.exe "c:\txt\database.txt" "c:\pnttempl\dataimp\test.imp" "c:\pntdata\test\prospect"

It seems that if I'm not importing into the Primary Data Folder it will not work.

Any ideas? Is there something I'm missing about making another folder the Primary?

Also - I did apply for the PPP Bryan, but I never got a response.
