| Is this method a valid workaround in version 5.2 as well?

| | We just installed a fresh version of 5.4 Things aren't working the way they should when going through terminal services. I understand you had to add a entry called Temporary=UserAppDataPath (that's without the quotes right?) and I also changed the User=C:\WINPOINT\USER to User=UserAppDataPath There's not a calyx folder showing up C:\Documents and Settings\%userprofilename%\Application Data\ When I try to launch Pointe from a RDP session, it takes FOREVER. I figgure it's because of my paths being messed up. Any help would be appreciated |

| | Here's a copy of the config. [User Information] User=Network User Company=Our Company Serial=Blacked Out [Program Version] AdminDir=C:\Netsetup\ ConfigServer=1 Count=1.000001 Source=\\prefsvr\winpoint\ Program=Point Version=5.4 Build=855 [Directories] Folder0=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\ORIGINATOR Folder1=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\2005CLOSED Folder2=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\2004CLOSED Folder3=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\2003CLOSED Folder4=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\DENIED2005 Folder5=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\DENIED2004 Folder6=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\DENIED2003 Folder7=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\WDRAWN2005 Folder8=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\WDRAWN2004 Folder9=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\WDRAWN2003 Folder10=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\2002CLOSED Folder11=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\2001CLOSED Folder12=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\DENIED2002 Folder13=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\DENIED2001 Folder14=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\WDRAWN2002 Folder15=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\WDRAWN2001 Folder16=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\CLOSED2006 Folder17=\\PREFSVR\PNTDATA\DENIED2006 Folder18=SENTINEL Temporary=UserAppDataPath Application=C:\WINPOINT Templates=\\PREFSVR\PNTTEMPL User=UserAppDataPath [PDS] Enable=0 WebService=https:// [Settings] PLN=1 DATA_FOLDER_MGR=0 PPP=1
So what the heck am I missing. One sidenote, when I log in as a user, it doesn't create a winpoint.ini file under c:\documents and settings\%username%\windows either |

| | Check for a folder called 1.0.0.0 C:\Documents and Settings\%userprofilename%\Application Data\1.0.0.0\TEMP That's where the files got written to when I added UserAppDataPath

| | Nope. No 1.0.0.0 folder either. Do I still have to run seperate application copies for each terminal user with the 5.4 version? |

| | If I log in as administrator, the program runs ok, but it still doesn't create the application data\1.0.0.0 or calyx folder. If I log in as a regular user, things run HORRIBLY SLOW and it still doesn't create the application data\1.0.0.0 or calyx folder |

| | The users Remote Desktop into the server and then There is a Icon on the server's desktop. I just got to looking, I originally did a ADMIN INSTALL on this server (because we have local machines there that connect) I'm gonna try a Standard Install and see if that makes a difference |
