| Can someone from the support team explain to the users on this topic why you don't support Calyx in a Citrix or TS environment. It hasn't been asked before, at least that i could see and i figured it is a valid question since you what seems to be quite a few people interested in it.

| There is not enough demand for point to run under terminal services. And since our QA process does not ensure Point's functionality under this environment. We cannot support it.

| | Hi, I realize it's unsupported, however it appears that the \work directory is derived from the application working directory i.e. c:\winpoint\work . You could save a lot of us time, effort and precious disk space by allowing the \work folder to be directed to c:\documents and settings\%username%\work or wherever we would like. I have 300 users all over the country and the biggest issue is custom forms being populated by another users data and credit reports being locked by a user that has it opened in Acrobat, once the user closes Acrobat or we manually kill the process another user. You have a line variable in the winpoint.ini but it doesn't seem to redirect all of the functions to that \work folder. Re-installing a full copy of Point to 300 users is pointless and costly and the security in PDS is currently set to one to one or one to all. We actually only allow our LO's to read/write to Prospect and then read in Borrower. This allows only the processor to make changes and is very helpful when a processor works for LO's in different regions. The fixes are very simple and your response would be greatly appreciated. Thank You, Ben |

| | In 5.4 you can specify the work directory. In winpoint .ini in the directory section add the key "Temporary=" then set a hard coded path or if you want Point to use a user based directory instead add "Temporary=UserAppDataPath". Point will use the users application data path + "\Calyx Software\Point\TEMP" That should help. PS you can also us the UserAppDataPath setting for "User=" in winpoint.ini

| | I am new to Point, but have some experience with TS with another customer. I am helping a new Broker get started and I just installed version 5.4. I tried setting these values in the winpoint.ini in the Windows directory. I noticed that point copied this file to the Windows directory for my test user. The User and Temporary path are set with the UserAppDataPath values. But I am not exactly sure what I am to see where. I have a couple of files I am opening. I do see a file being opened in the WORK directory under the installed path for Winpoint, and I am sure that is not what I want. I am hoping using this syntax will work, I don't like the idea of multiple installs. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks, Jerry |

| With UserAppDataPath set, you should see the files now go to C:\Documents and Settings\%userprofilename%\Application Data\1.0.0.0\TEMP.

| | Double check you installed 5.4 and not 5.3 I think it should redirect so some thing like C:\Documents and Settings\%userprofilename%\Application Data\calyx software\point\TEMP the 1.0.0.0 should not be there.

| | Definetely 5.4. This is a new purchase, with 5.4 on the label of the CD. Since I am a little new to Point, I am sure I am missing something. But....I am not seeing the path get created under the user's app path. Once point of interest though. I do have my documents, desktop and application data folders mapped to a core server using the GPO. Maybe it does not like the UNC path. I will try changing this. Jerry |

| | Double check and make sure the setting is in both winpoint.ini files. one in c:\windows and c:\documents and settings\username\windows also if you can attach/screen shot the section.
