I have a custom form I print from a first mortgage file. My form needs to include the interest rate of the second mortgage. I'm using field ID 2812. It's pulling the information, but it's rounding off to 2 decimal places, so 7.375 becomes 7.38. That's terribly annoying to me, and could cause confusion based on what we're intending to use the form for.

Can anyone tell me how to have the form not round off this field?

That would be great.

Thanks,

BTW, the same form has the interest rate for the first mortgage as well, and it does not round off.

Ok, I did some experimenting and have not found a full solution. I did figure out how to have Word round to the nearest 1/8th, which works if the only second lien rates we ever do are in eighth% increments, but that's not always the case.

I opened the sample file I'm using in Notepad. My test second mortgage rate (Field ID 2812) was 7.375. Doing ctrl+F in Notepad located 7.375, but not 7.38 (which is what is being merged into my custom form). So it's not a problem with Word, and it's not a problem with how Point saves the data. There's something wrong with the way Point is exporting field 2812 to make it round to the nearest hundredth. I'm using Point 5.2a Build 745.30 if that helps.

There's got to be an easy fix for this problem. Please let me know.

Thanks,

Can you try something for test purposes? Create a report template with field ID 2812. Let me know how the interest rate shows as in the report.

The reports rounded the rate in the exact same fasion as the custom forms.

Please continue to try to figure this out.

Thanks,
