Hey guys....Im trying to create a "closed Loans" folder so its accessible from the Search Loans/Data Folder drop down menu within Point. We want to move closed loans to this folder and make it accessible to only authorized Point users. Is this something that has to be done on the Point Administrator on the Server or on the workstations? THANKS!

Calyx has very nice instructions on how to create a new data folder

http://www.calyxsupport.com/tips/folder_051.htm

For moving all existing Closed files

Within the Navigation Tab do a

Search by > Select Loan Status > Closed > Click on Search

Now you will see a list of files on the Right Panel.

Select them and use "Move" function to move them to the newly created "Closed" folder.

Hope this helps

PT

Cool Thanks...So I created that Closed folder and I moved some loans over. Now, in the future if I want to preview these closed loans, I have to manually open each one?

When you say "preview these closed loans", I'm guessing you mean that you need to view certain information about the closed loans, for say January 2006 closed loans for loan rep Joe Jackson.   You can run a Point report to do this. Only open the loans if you need to modify infomration in the loan. Run a report to get a view of all the information for your closed loans.   Calyx has a report called Closed and Funded. You can also create custom reports to pull all the information you need for those loans anytime.

Thanks Bryan. In the Reports section I only have Primary Data Folder. How do I get the Closed Data folder to show on that left column so I can do this Closed and Funded report?
