| | I have noticed on a couple of our machines that it takes a very long time (1-2+ minutes) for the print dialog box to come up. The machines themselves are in relatively good shape and this is the only thing that seems slow. Have any of you run into this problem? |

| | I have also had a few machines experiencing the same problem. Again, the machines that are having these issues are new machines and this is the only thing that is slow. Does anyone have any suggestions?? |

| Okay, let's start somewhere. Is the print job being spooled at the same time you are seeing the slowness, i.e. if you double-click the printers tray icon do you see the print jobs from Point?

| | Hello, We are experiencing this issue as well. We did not have the issue using 4.4 and below. It has appeared after the 5.2 upgrade. I have found that if it is on a stand alone machine the print dialog box comes up immediately. However, if you are using a network drive to store your PNTTMPL and PNTDATA files it takes 30 to 90 seconds for the dialog box to appear. Any ideas? Thanks, Chris R |

| | I have had the same issue since v 5.3. I maintain Calyx for multiple organizations and am seeing the "slow print dialog box" on 70% of the machines I manage. Very broad mix of environments; Windows 2000 Professional, Windows 2000 Server, Windows XP Home and Windows XP Professional. Network is not an issue as is happening on stand alone PCs as well as networked machines. Same thing on printer, does not make any difference if printer is directly attached or networked. Is happening before the job is spooled, waiting for print dialog to open. Have tried flushing \Winpoint\Work folder, fresh install of Point, and reinstall of Dot Net, but no joy. Does anybody have any suggestions on a resolution? |

| | Yes, delay from the time you click "print", to the time the window with all of the forms, custom docs and print groups opens. |
