I have an LO who keeps losing her My Shared & My Local print groups.  If we close out of Point and log back in, they'll both be there the first time you go to print, but then the second time they're gone.  Sometimes if we wait about a half-an-hour, they show up again for one print, and then they're gone again.  Has anyone else experienced this?

I am having the exact problem.  I restored them earlier in the week and now they are gone again.  There has got to be a bug in the software if this is happening in 2 different  networks.  Calyx software we need your help!

Are you using Windows NT or Windows server 2003?

Does this only occur to borrower print groups?

Do users not have full permission to pnttempl or pnttempl\printgroups?

Do they have read and execute but not write or delete?

I had the same problem on my network as well, but only with the shared print groups.  The best I was able to figure was that some of our people had installed the new 5.2a update and others had not.  If you look at the BRWPG.INI file, there is an INFO section that shows Version= the version of the software.  It should say Version=5.2a, but when it would disappear it went back to saying just Version=5.2.  My assumption is that if the application doesn't see the same version, that it overwrites the INI file. 

I just went around to all my workstations yesterday to double check that everyone had the update (sure enough only about 70% completed it as requested back in Feb.).  So far today the PrintGroups have remained.  I'll folllow up in a few days to let you know if this did the trick.
