| I have upgraded a local test box just to see how the upgrade works from 5.0 to 5.1. I already found something going wrong, not sure how to go about fixing it. Support site also has no information.
I open point, and enter the cardex. I get (view attachment on post).
Any ideas?
Thanks,

| | It's an odd error. Point 5.0 used an Access 2.0 format. Upgrading to Point 5.1 should convert the database to Access 2000 though. Did you ever open the Cardex database (pointcdx.mdb file) in Microsoft Access before? It's possible the database was changed to Access 97 format. Possible Solutions: - If you have Access 2000, you can convert the pointcdx.mdb file from Access 97 format to 2000 format.
- If you do not have Access, you will need to re-install Point to get a fresh Cardex and then import the old mdb file.
1) Locate your \Pnttempl\Database folder (usually on your network drive if you are sharing the Templates) 2) Rename "Pointcdx.mdb" file "Pointcdx2.mdb" 3) Reinstall Point 5.1 (this will give you a fresh Pointcdx.mdb file) 4) Open Point, go to Utilities > Cardex Database. Click File > Import. 5) Select "Other Cardex File" 6) Browse for the "Pointcdx2.mdb" file. Click Finish

| Has this issue been resolved. I upgraded to the newest edition and now I cannot get into my cardex database. The error talks about a "multiple step OLE DB operation generated errors"
Any suggestions? |
