Is there a way to assign a standard set of tasks to all new files when they are created?  Is it possible to assign a set of task to a master template and use that to create new files so the inherit the tasks.

I would also like to know if this is possible. Currently it seems the tasks have to be set manually and one-by-one whereas all new files require varying alerts/task notification.

Side Note:: Point's tasks feature allows all users to view the tasks set and who they are assigned to but in order to set a task, you must associate a file with it. Do any Point users know a system/method of alerting staff of other tasks not directly associated with a file that could be used?

What types of tasks do you need to complete without tying them to a loan file? Any feedback is appreciated, as we continue to enhance this feature. Thanks!

I moved this from Custom Forms to Suggestions & Requests

Other tasks that would be beneficial could/would include but not limited to:

- checking on settings for credit/lenders

- sign up of new lenders/vendors

- tasks covering multiple files (all opened, all with outstanding appraisals etc), maybe based on file status or other field designated by the user.

- reports from certain staff members

I think the above along with some sort of reminder/notification feature would prove to be very beneficial and eliminate alot of manual work duplication that we are faced with currently. I have not found an easy (read: user friendly) way to incorporate tasks from point into Microsoft Outlook (or similar product).

I'm not saying my staff is lazy but I think they could be more efficient if they didn't have to do any duplicate clerical work.

Any help is appreciated.

Second.

I have received many requests from my users for this type of functionality.  Its absence helps to turn many away from using the Tasks feature.
