Good Afternoon,

I have some locations that have issues saving their loans in point while connected to PDS.  I have no idea what the problem may be.  Any ideas?

The error is:

The underlying connection was closed. Could not establish secure channel for SSL/TLS.

Some branches have no issues at all.

Thanks for any input.

Only when they click save. Locks up the application and pops this error up.

Thanks!

We have several branches that report this exact error as well. as far as we can tell there is no consistancy as to why it is happening. they click save on a .brw file they have been working on and they will get that error. they click save again and it actually saves it. strange problem?

i think it has something to do with Point not being able to use port 80 and 443. it may be their firewall, router, antivirus...etc that is causing it.

anyone have any solutions?

how are these users connected to the network? cable or wireless?  It almost sounds like they are losing network connectivity, or there si some type of proxy/firewall caching the webrequests.  Any of them running symantec or macafee?

Cable w/ netgear router.  We even tried to replace the router, still didn't work.  I ran a ping for about 15 minutes and that showed no drop out on connection.  Also, tried using it with and without Antivirus (AVG).

Also it seems everytime they bring up a loan it states "Recovering unsaved loans" even on newly created ones.

I have some other applications that have generated UCC errors and, typically, this has been a result of problems on the database side.  Most often times it has been because the database is too busy to accept connections.  This is generally the result of an enterprising DBA who felt it necessary to run stats in the middle of the day.  On a couple of occassions, we have seen this when the database was hung, also typically a result of overload.

I'm not sure if this applies here because these are entirely different applications that run in an Oracle environment.  The principles, though, should still apply so it can't hurt to take a look at your SQL box.

Just a thought.
