I'm borderline embarassed to ask this (as it's so incredibly simple), but here goes.

We've recently added an origination fee to a certain product and for some reason the appropriate line (801) is greyed out when creating a closing cost scenario and I'm unable to populate a standard origination fee for this product.

Any suggestions?

I have 5.2 installed and my GFE line 801 is not grayed out and never was in the past. You must have some unique loan setting that is triggering the graying out. I'll play with it this afternoon if I have time.

Its the closing cost template that has this field greyed out.  I don't recall why that is.

The far right hand box for line 801 is grayed out until you either put a % or flat $ amount in the other boxes on line 801. Is this what's happening.

Even after you put in the % or $ amount the far right box stays grayed out eventhough it now displays a value.

Sorry, I understand the problem now.

Line 801 is a lender fee, and it seems that this gets populated by Calyx from another field.

Go to the Loan Submission Form and at the bottom tab click loan demands and whatever value you put for the loan origination will get populated on line 801 of the GFE.

It seems the only way to auto populate the GFE is to set up a borrower template with this as well as all other GFE numbers already on it.

If you are not a lender but a broker this fee should be going on line 802 I believe, in which case there should be no problem.

The Loan Program Template has the origination fee % enabled (called "Points" on the LP template), but not the closing cost template.  I'm not really sure why they grayed out the field on the CC Scenario but I can pass this request on to our team. Just need to understand a bit more about this, if you typically would want to enter your origination fee % on the loan program or closing cost scenario?

Let me explain a in a little more detail.

I'm a lender (not a broker) and we offer construction/perm financing on any of our loan products.

With this said, I've set up a specific CC scenario for C/P loans that can be applied on a loan regardless of product.  One of the C/P fees is an origination fee and I'd prefer to have it default on the CC scenario vs. relying on a loan officer to remember to input it.

Hopefully that will help.  Thanks for the help

I hate to bring this back up, but is there any solution to this?

Sorry, I sent the suggestion to the Point team. Currently there's no way to enter the origination fee % on the CC scenario. I tried to trick the system by saving the CC scenario as a brw, then entering the %, and saving it back as a CC scenario, but Point did not import the % from the CC scenario.  It seems that Point expects you to add the % in the loan program file. The only other alternative I can suggest is to enter the CC fees in a borrower master template.
