| | I have identified an issue that Calyx support was able to duplicate. Here is the scenario: A user makes changes to an existing Prospect/Borrower file, File01, and then navigates to a different Prospect/Borrower file, File02, thereby receiving a prompt to save File01 before continuing or risk losing changes. The user clicks Yes to save, File01 presumably saves, and she moves on to File02. Later, the user checks File01 and discovers that her previous changes were not saved in the file. The user, once again, makes the changes to File01 but this time she deliberately clicks the save icon on the toolbar before navigating to a different file. When she checks back to see if the data saved, it has, in fact, saved. The issue: If you attempt to navigate to a different file without first saving the changes in the file you are currently working, the changes will not save regardless of whether you click Yes on the save changes prompt. | I am one of the developers on Point Data Server and we are trying to reproduce what you described in our development environment. This is great feedback, I really appreciate it. I will let you know what we find.

| | Quick update: we used Point 5.1 connecting to PDS 5.1 and we were unable to reproduce the problem you described. We also tried with Point 5.2 and it also worked fine. One of our support engineers will follow up with you to get more details on your environment and see how we can get the issue resolved.

| | Additional update: after more testing we were able to reproduce the problem you described. This only happens for Prospect files, but does not happen for Borrower files (that's the reason we couldn't reproduce it in our earlier tests). After some debugging between the client and server teams, we have identified the problem and it seems it's on the client (Point). The call to save the files is never made to PDS in the scenario you described (Prospect files only). This occurs in Point 5.1 and 5.2 (we started shipping Point 5.2 last week and only now did we find this problem). I don't know yet what will be our action plan, but in the meantime I will write a knowledge base article that describes this issue and the workaround. Thanks again for bringing this issue to our attention and the details you provided.

| I have created a PDS Knowledge Base article with information on the above problem. You may find it at:Q10597 - BUG: Changes not saved for Prospect files http://pdskb.calyxsoftware.com/article.aspx?id=10597
