No need for VPN.
- Compression of the data between the Point client and the PDS server: much better performance.
- A new user model, with "User Groups" and "Folder Access Rights": much easier to manage Point Users.
- Much more... Update: Point Data Server (PDS) version 5.1 was released on 8/3/2005. Get it today, you'll love it!

| For those that have used PDS 5.0 in the past, you'll love some of the new features in PDS 5.1. For example, all data sent to/from Point to PDS is now compressed - here's are some features that will show a performance improvement:- Search for loans
- Generate a report
- List Co-Borrowers
- Much more...
I've attached a graph that shows the improvement in speed in a low bandwidth environment (roughly 10 KB/s).
