Normal.dot Error

User has Word open - he uses it to spell check during the day. When he tries to print custom forms groups he gets the attached error. If he closes his blank Word doc and tries to print again it works.

Any ideas?

what do you use for reserves?

hey everyone,

i am a new processor and i'm trying to figure out the best way to set up my reserves section of my good faith estimate.

i hate either being short at the end or a borrower not getting as much cash-out as expected because i didn't estimate correctly on such things as taking insurance into consideration or what not.

as of right now, i'm doing...

15 days interest
5 months tax reserves
? mortgage insurance

i was just wondering what anyone else here puts for certain sections, so that next time around, i'm not caught being short or with not enough cash-out.

emailing a form as an attachment

I am trying to email a good faith estimate to a client, I select email form, goes through all the steps, but when my email box pops up the form is not attached. I have att yahoo for email, Dell xps700 with Windows Professional XP sp3. Any suggestions? I also just had a box pop up requesting my Dell Resource CD to proceed....this just happened, the attachment problem has been for the last few days. I used to be able to email a form as an attachment no problem. Thanks

Custom Forms are not Alphabetizing

Running on 6.1 with PDS 6.1

Some of my custom forms show up as lower case in the title names even though they were created as normal Title Case and some are not in proper alphabetical order. We tried a resync of the templates but it is still doing it. Anybody seen this?

Importing PDFs?

In order to create froms from my invetors, I take the PDF from their site, export it as a word document and import it into Calyx. Acrobat does a miserable job of exporting to word, and does it as a series of text boxes. I would much rather just add the PDF from and skip the import entirely. Is this possible? Is there a better way to do this that anyone has encountered?

Copy custom letter desktop to laptop

I have a laptop that I travel with and a desk top that runs off a server in our office. I have created numerous custom letters on my laptop and want to transfer to my system at work. I have read the Point manual front and back. Help!:w00t:

FHA

:PWe are doing a lot more FHA loans now. We are bankers and the good faith does not disclose/show the Base Loan Amount but yet the origination fee is based on the base loan amount and the borrower doesn't always understand.

Before 6.1 I think there was a section on the bottom of GFE that showed the base loan amount without Mip.....

Anyone out there that does FHA???? :D

What field do i select if I want the origination date, (date on 1003) ?

Basically I need the printed date. I want the date this form prints to show up. I'm not sure which to pick, is it the open date?

Mail merge borrower and co-borrower

When creating a custom letter, is there and way to insert " and " between the borrower and co-borrower; but not have it print if a file has just a borrower?

Worst Case Payment and Rate

Is there a field ID I can reference for the worst case payment and worst case rate? I can use Word's math functions to add the note rate and life cap if I have to, but it would be easier to reference the actual field if there is one. To clarify, this is not the same as the max rate the TIL calculates, which is based on the current index and margin.

Custom Form Miscellaneous fields

How can I import a miscellaneous field into a custom document. I am trying to import the HMDA field called Annual_Income (HINC). I cannot locate a point field number for the miscellaneous fields. Any Thoughts?

Custom Forms printing legal

When I create new custom forms, the consistantly print on legal sized paper. When I print them as a PDF, or print preview, they appear as letter sized. When i try to print to paper they come out legal sized. This happens regardless of the printer used. I would think it was me, but this does not happen with any other application, and it only happens with custom forms I create.

Autoword Error Normal.dot not available

We are on PDS 6.0b and when a simple Custom form with mail merge fields (and not all) is printed, LOs (and I) are getting unable to write to Normal.dot errors.

Any suggestions?

Email Forms - Not Working

Good afternoon,

One of my users is having a problem. She is trying to email/print two custom forms (one being a letter sized, and one legal). She can print them both just fine, however, when she tries to email them only the legal sized form shows in the PDF. The letter sized form just doesn't show up.

I had her send me the Point file and I am able to email the two forms just fine, they both show in the PDF.

I had her clear her Work folder, I had her re install the Calyx Doc Converter from her Winpoint folder, and I added cdintf250.dll to her System32 folder as I read this file helpds Adobe create the PDF file.

Non of this worked for her.

Any ideas?

Adding(math) in Fields

With the requirement of the new broker comp form I need to be able to add the broker origination fee (field1023)+ processing fee (field 5355)+ ysp(field 6168)to = total comp to broker.

is this possible? is there a formula that i can use? tried to add an excel spreadsheet but fields wouldnt auto populate.

Hyper links in point

We use a server to store all our borrowers info. We utilize our efax as well as a scanner to save all our borrower's docs. The files are saved in the borrowers folder on our server. Is there a way to post a hyperlink in point so the processors can click on the link and it will take ithem to the borrower's folder (ie path //server/borrower/johnson). Everytime I try to add a hyperlink it is coded as a mail to item. So when we click on the link point tries to email to the hyperlink instead of directing to the hyperlink. I don't know if this is possible or not. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I need to create a custom form utilizing the "TOTAL LOAN AMOUNT" on the 1st page of the 1003 or the "w/MIP, FF" field on the Borrower Information Page. The fields are grayed out. Can anyone help?

Autoword termination error

Using Point 6.0a I get a runtime termination error indicating autoword.exe "terminated in an unusual way" when printing a custom form with script running. This custom form handles the MailMergeBeforeRecordMerge event. Autoword fails to process any additional forms after this.

The MailMergeBeforeRecordMerge event is being used because I have to perform some relatively sophisticated calculations using the merge record database. This information isn't available after the merge is complete. Any ideas?

Using Word Fields In Custom Forms

I am trying to do a calculation in a custom form using Point Field 630

I just want the form to display the amount of field 630 * 12 to get the annual adjusted Gross Income

I am trying

It displays a sytax error in print preview mode

And if I try to print a PDF, I get a PDF that Says "There was a field calculation error in field 1"

Anyone now exactly how to accomplish this?

Open House Flyer - Word Document

I've set up a custom form for an open house flyer and when I try to send the data from Calyx to Word, I am getting blanks for the ALT1 & ALT2 programs (example: fields 20063 20062 20060, etc...). When I look at the Loan Comparison in Calyx, those fields have data in there.

Any ideas why it transfers the original but not the alternatives?

Any idea how to get it to transfer the chosen picture as well? (Field 7402)

When I go to insert a field into Word, nothing gets inserted and Word will freeze up on me. I'm using Office XP and Point 6.0.

When I force Word to quit, I get an error message from Autoword that says: "The server threw an exception."

Any ideas on what's wrong?

Custom Forms / Field ID

Here's the problem I've been having. I have a bunch of custom form templates made but I need to use them for several of the different companies that I work for. Is there a way to put in a field to pull either company name or data folder name? I know on my reports I can use the Field ID FOLDER, but in custom forms it only lets me put in numbers

CHARMs Booklet

Has anyone been able to get the updated CHARMs Booklet (http://www.federalreserve.gov/Pubs/arms/armsbrochure.pdf) to work as a custom form? We've been able to use the old version without difficulty, but not this one. We converted it to Word, but Point does not read it in the same manner as Word. For example, it is 37 pages long. When we edit the custom form through Point, it becomes 58 pages (many blank pages inserted here and there). Or when we try to produce a PDF from Point, it results in the error message "Printer not Activated -30". Printing to an alternative PDF driver results in a 58 page document that looks just like the custom form.

We even tried opening the custom form, and the Word file side by side. We deleted everything in the custom form, then copied everything from the Word file and pasted it into the custom form. At this point, it showed the correct number of pages (37). We saved it, but as soon as we re-opened it, it was back to 58 pages.

Loan Representative not displaying in custom forms

Hello,

I am having an issue where the loan representatives' names are not displaying into the custom forms. The forms have worked previously, but now are having issues.

I've emptied out the winpoint/work and the winpoint/user folder. I've also made sure that they have privileges to the template folder (I’ve set the security to Full Access for Everyone).

The custom forms do, however, work on applications that were made in the past. And some users are not experiencing this problem. However, if you attempt to change the Rep from the drop down menu on past applications, the forms still show the previous officer.

The users are on an active directory with roaming profiles. I have tried "whipping out" the account and starting anew, but the problem still persist. I’ve also told them to try another computer, but it still malfunctioned.

Any help would be appreciated.

Tracking: Registration & Rate Lock Form for Printing

Is is possible to add fields to the printable form for the Tracking: Registration and Rate lock? I want to add some Secondary Marketing information such as: Investor, Investor loan #, delivery date, etc... I know where to find the file in Windoze explorer. However, you can view the file when I copied it to the custom form section of Templates, but you can't edit it to add/delete fields.

Florida Mortgage Broker Contract - After 10/1/07

Will Calyx be providing an updated Florida Mortgage Broker Contract to comply with the requirements of FS 494 / SB 1824?

The Statute requires the exact Dollar figure of both front and YSP to the consumer within 3 days of application and to be exact to closing terms within 3 days prior to closing.

Presently Calyx's Florida Mortgage Broker Contract will fill the Mortgage Brokerage Fee as a flat dollar figure; however, the Lender Comp. (Yield Spread Premim) is still in a Range.

We are presently using Point 5.4

I'm assuming we will have to create a Custom Form. Obviously we have all created a lot of custom forms the piece I have trouble with is being able to get the document spacing to remain the same no matter what length the inserted field is. Does anyone have any help on that?

Rate Lock Expiration Date POINT 6.0

Problem, when running reports and/or providing updated disclosures which reflect the 'current rate lock expiration date', POINT does not seem to "poll' the 3 fields to determine which is the most current value and report this. (fileld #6106, 1147, 11475)

I need to have a simple method of ensuring accurate reporting of the rate lock expiration date of a loan please.

Current models were built on the old version which only had field #6106 available.

Application Fee

The application fee in the Broker Orig disclosure form is nice, however, the GFE does not provide a mapped link to the same fee. As we all know a fee disclosed in one form needs to be on the the GFE as the same. Are there any proposals to map the fields together and/or create a hard coded field on the GFE to provide the link?

It is a great fields and the options are neat, it just is difficult to get these mapings together for the remaining forms to follow suit for those uses who 'dont want to do the extra work'.

Neg Am Loan - Yes or No

The TIL has many fields used to help calculate the neg am portion of a loan which has neg am. My goal is to have a simple reply, yes or no if a loan has a neg am component.

Any ideas.

It is a disclosure requirement for the State of Wisconsin for all broker agreements.
