point 6.0 printer not activated message

when anyone in my company try's to import a point file to a pdf for email, we receive the error that the printer is not activated with the error code -41.

any ideas?

Exception error messages when emailing forms

I have a user who is not able to email forms Using WinXP and Point 6.0b. When the user choses Email - Forms he gets the prompt for chosing a password,and then he gets 2 different error messages.

One message reads "object reference not set to an instance of an object - System.nullReference Exception and references to Cbaseview.FilePrint(Cbaseview*....) and severallines of code.

The other message is "Common Language Runtime Debugger - Application has generated an exception...."

This only happens when emailing forms - he can email files fine. Does not matter if the forms are custom or standard. I tried some of the Knowledgebase tips about "whitespace" in the folder.ini by creating a brand new datafolder with 1 borrower file with nothing in it but a name and I get the same errors.

I deleted the Calyx Document converter and re-created it - no luck.

Deleted contents of the \Winpoint\work folder, deleted the \user\userprofile.ini, Reinstalled 6.0 and the .b patch and no changes.

Any ideas?

I just saw a tip about reinstalling .net via the Dotnetfx.exe which I am tyring next.

My Print Groups

Does anyone know how to delete the "My Print Groups" under the "Print Groups" when trying to print forms? I would like to have ONLY the "Shared Print Groups".

Printing From Print Groups Issue

When printing from my shared Print Groups my credit score pages only prints 1 of 2, but when I pick only to print the credit score it will print both pages. I have logged into the template set and print previewed and it shows both pages but on the users computer it only shows that 1 of 2.

Any ideas?

Verifs with too much info

Is there a way to disable the printing of home phone, business phone,
cell phone, & email address that print on Verif forms?
There is no need to be disclosing this info on Verif forms
but the only way I can get rid of it is remove the info from the file,
print the forms, and then re-enter phones/email addr back in Borr Information Screen.
Has anyone found a better way to accomplish this?
Any help would be appreciated

Error on FHA/VA Addendum

Open a new file. Enter a sale price, loan amount, rate, and term. Check FHA. Click Print and choose the FHA/VA Addendum - Pg 1 and then choose a custom form. This will cause the FHA/VA Addendum to show "1,351" in field 12b.

The Verification of Employment screens are completed corecctly (the borrower field is checked on the borrower and the coborrower field is checked on the coborrowers) but when you print they both show the borrowers infromation in section 7. Is this a problem that anyone else is having?

Printing a Custom Form from a Custom Screen

I have 2 or 3 custom screens that we use to enter additional questions that don't appear elsewhere in Point.

I also have custom forms that merge the fields from the custom screens in additional to existing fields from the 1003 etc.

I never want to print the custom screen - I want to print the custom form that relates to the custom screen. So, if I've just entered the additional questions in the custom form "Borrower's Favorite Car" (asks, What's is the borrower's favorite car?) and I push the print button, or Ctrl+P, I would like the custom form "Borrower's Favorite Car" (Includes the answer to borrower's favorite car and other information like borrower's name, and address) to be the only form selected in the print dialogue.

This would be great. My LOs can't seem to remember to choose the custom form with the print dialogue.

Point 6.1 - Print Groups

We have several Print Groups that were created in Point 6.0. We have just upgraded to version 6.1. The Print Group INI files, which were located in C:\WINPOINT\PCL, (BRWPG and COBRWPG.ini) are not showing up since we've upgraded to 6.1. Do they need to be transferred to a different directory for version 6.1? Can someone please help?! Thank you.

Printing to pdf problems

When printing documents to a pdf we are asked to chose whether to password protect the file or not. However, even if I chose NO to the password protect when I go to combine the pdf documents into one file (using Adobe Acrobat 8.0 full version) I get an error message that says I must enter a password to remove the "protection" from the individual files before Adobe can combine them. I can't say for sure but it even looks like a Point dialog box that is popping up for me to input the non-existent password.

Any ideas on how I can combine pdf documents once they've been created via Point? The same problem occurs if I bypass Point's pdf converter and select to Print the Point document and then select the Acrobat printer from my printer drop down menu. Same result - can't combine the individual file.

Multiple Copies in Form Groups With Custom Docs

We have many form groups configured. All contain Custom Docs for varying reasons. We would like to print two copies of the form group. We click Print within Point, Select the Form Group, Click Print then our Printer Window (HP LaserJet 4000 Series PCL) opens. We increase the number of copies to 2 and select OK. Documents begin to Spool.

Our problem is only 1 copy ever prints. This happens on 100% of our Point 5.1 clients. Will this be fixed when 5.2 is released? Will this ever get fixed?

The software does not work with PDFs produced by POINT

POINT seem to put a level of security on the file that does not allow editing.

Any ideas ?

Point not printing p. 1 of loan application.

I've seen this a handful of times where someone is unable to print p. 1 of the URLA. It will print p. 2, p.3, p.4, and variations on p.5--but not p.1. The job spools, it appears in the printer window (1.5MB?), but the page never comes out of the printer. The workaround is to print to an Adobe printer and then bypass Point to print to a physical printer. Today, the user was printing to a Brother printer, but I've seen it happen on desktop HP's, and Canon printers too. It's random, but frustrating. The user today was able to go into another Point file and print p.1 but couldn't get it to print on the file he needed. Is this happening to anyone else?

Print groups lost

We recently upgrade to version 6 and everything has been running fairly well, but today our custom print groups that we created are gone. Any idea why they would disappear and where they are saves so I might restore them from backup?

Point 5.4 - Logos on Custom forms

We have our company logo on some of our custom forms. Just installed 5.4. The forms save to PDF correctly when it's the only one I do, but when I print a large group of forms, the logo skews diagonally. Any ideas on how to fix the problem? It worked fine even in large groups in 5.3a if that means anything.

Shared print groups for co-borrower files

I'm sorry if this has already been discussed, but I couldn't find it.

Is there a way to access shared print groups when printing from co-borrower files (.CB1, .CB2, etc.)? We have our disclosures put together as a print group for convenience and consistency and, well... not having the shared print group available eliminates both of those.

FL Lender Disclosure + Propect Print Groups

Hello,

We have loaded Point 6.0a. We are trying to use the FL Lender Disclosure in a custom print group.

When FL Lender disclosure is added to the print group, the print button is greyed out.

It also happens with the Florida print group provided by calyx.

You can deselect the FL Lender Disclosure and re add it from the forms tab and it works properly.

Finally, it is not an issue in a custom print group created for borrower. Only an issue in prospects.

Any help would be appreciated.

Form Print Groups disappearing

Our form print groups are dispapearing. We get them set up and everyone sees them and uses them for a few weeks then..... bam .....they disappear. This happened on 5.2, 5.3 possibly 5.1. We have the new 5.3 update.

Any ideas?

Prospect print not available

Our company just upgraded to version 6 and since then no one can print from their form groups in Prospect. They select one of their personal or shared form groups and the print button stays greyed out. If they select one of the normal form groups, it allows you to print. If they select a custom form group or create one in Borrower, it allows you to print.

All workstations are installed via an admin install (in this case, upgraded to 6 via admin upgrade)

Any idea on this issue? Can't see anyone else reporting it yet. Please advise if you require any further information.

Printing documents from multiple loan files at once possible?

Is it possible to print the same document from many loan files at the same time without having to open each file separately?

Example: We want to send an advertisement out to all of our closed loans that is set up as a custom form which will populate the borrower's name and address on each advertisement. Can we somehow select all of our closed loans simultaneously and have Point print that same document for all of the closed files without having to open each one separately and have the borrower's addresses and other personal info populate on those custom forms?

In short, I want to select a number of files and tell Point to print a certain custom form for all of them at the same time. Otherwise I'm doomed to open them all one by one.

Printing Barcode

I would like to have calyx barcode each document, so that i can scan, upload, fax ect, documents into a document managment system and have the system be able to identify and annotate each document, and put them in the correct folder based on file name.

Conditional Print Groups

I would like to create a conditional print list. For example, if the loan is in TX, include the TX Mortgage Broker/Loan Officer disclosure when the print group is selected, if the loan is not in TX, don't. If the loan is an ARM, include custom form CHARM Booklet, if not, don't include it, etc...

Any chance this feature exists?

Signature lines and initial lines not printing

Calyx Point 5.4

When I try to print the GFE the signature lines are cut off, I adjusted the print offset so they would print, which worked. I am now not getting the initials lines on the bottom of page 4. I cannot adjust the print offset any farther without cutting off the top of the form. Can anyone tell me what I am doing wrong?

Printing problems

We have upgraded to Calyx 5.4a and we are having two separate issues. The first is that when printing out a print group with both Point forms and Custom forms mixed in, some of the custom forms print with an error message on our printer (illegal operation) (when we do a print preview, they are there) and we can also email it to ourselves and it print properly, but we can't just print it out on the printer. The second item is also with a print group that has both letter and legal pages mixed in, the Good Faith and the TIL cut off at the bottom and print on letter size paper when it should be on legal paper. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this?

Print Dialog Box Very Slow

I have noticed on a couple of our machines that it takes a very long time (1-2+ minutes) for the print dialog box to come up. The machines themselves are in relatively good shape and this is the only thing that seems slow. Have any of you run into this problem?

Printing through terminal server

i have a group of users that are unable to print from Point while signed in to the terminal server.

the printer is there in the control panel. they can print to it from Word and other applications, but when they try to print from Point the printer is not there as an option.

any ideas?

Losing Formatting When Printing Custom Forms

I have some processors that print custom forms that are dropping formatting. They use the file>print command and choose forms located in the custom forms tab (point 5.3). The process executes normally with no error messages, but when the document prints, all the formatting has changed. Page breaks are missing, headers and footers are lost and wrong sized paper is used (letter and legal are both involved in this form). Is there anyone out there that has experienced something like this or have a fix in mind?

Print group issue after installing 5.4

Ever since we upgraded to Point 5.4, we have had an ongoing issue with printing from print groups. Essentially we have a group defined that prints a total of roughly 26 pages of custom and standard forms. After about page 20, a group of about 5 to 10 “garbage pages” prints out, then another couple of “normal pages print out”. We have tried multiple printers locally connected, shared through the win 2k3 AD, and connected directly VIA TCP/IP all with the same results. We have tried multiple drivers for each printer “including PCL5e, PCL6, Post script, etc”.

Where should I even begin to look for the cause?

No printing through converter in 5.4a

Error code 2 (registering activex) when installing the converter. error code 20 when trying to use it.

Uninstalled SmartFax printer driver last night and switched to MS Fax Service. Then wasn't able to print to converter.

I UNinstalled MS Fax services and reinstalled SmartFax Printer. Still no go.

Tried uninstalling and reinstalling converter via calyx directions. No Go. Tried copying framedyn.dll to system 32. No go.

Tried expanding permissions. Still no go.

Evidently, something has also killed the Adobe Printer also. Absolutely no PDF printing.

WTF!

FYI, printer driver has no info in the "Licensed to" section

1003 Continuation Sheet not printing when selecting "all"

In 5.2, we note that if the only liability on the Continuation Sheet of the 1003 is a Mortgage then when the Print selection "Loan Application-All" the continuation sheet does not print.

If any other liability type, the Continuation sheet does print when "Loan Application-All" is selected.

Custom Fonts

Some of my users who do not have access to Secured Areas wish to increase the font on some forms like Request for Insurance because the 10 point font is too difficult to read through a fax. Is this something they can do without giving them access to Secured Areas. Is there a way I can set it globally?

editing forms adding signature here in adobe acrobat

Looking to add graphics to that are a functionality of acrobat to show borrowers where to sign and to be able to email 1003s. The problem is that the forms are secured and you cannot add the graphics. Anyone have insight how to change this?

Printing (Saving as) PDF does not work for some users in 5.3

Most of my users cannot save their packages as PDF's. I just get the generic "Failed to create PDF File" message.

I have installed the 5.3a update and re-installed the Amyuni driver with no luck.

Has anyone firgured this out?...

New Printing Error

We're getting the following error when using a Custom Form with either the Save as PDF or Email as PDF output options selected. Printing to paper works fine.

Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup.
Try one or more of the following:
*Check the printer by printing a test page from Windows.
*Make sure the printer is turned on and online.
*Reinstall the printer driver.

We're trying to email as PDF.

Printing envelopes without a return address

Does anyone know if there's a way to keep Point from printing our company's return address at the top left corner of envelopes? We're trying to use our company stationary, but obviously we can't if Point is just going to print over our logo.

Can't print form groups - printer error

I recently updated a user's print groups and since then he has not been able to successfully print any of them. There are no errors from Point, just a standard print error from the printer. The print groups contain both Point forms as well as custom forms. He's able to print both Point & custom forms successfully on their own, just not as a print group. I have deleted and readded the groups, with no results. He's using a Ricoh Aficio 1515, and did not have this problem prior to updating the groups. Any ideas?
