Export files from Point

Does Calyx Point have the ability to export files to anything other than FNMA 3.2? We would like to see if it can be exported to XML and MISMO standards. We have been using the 3.2 format but are finding a lot of information such as tracking information that does not come thru to our back end systems. Are there any plans for this in an upcoming release? Thanks.

transfering changed info from prospect into existing borrower file

I'm an LO and use the prospect side. When I want to lock or send to my processor I move to borrower. Now I've made changes in prospect on the new GFE and want to transfer that to borrower. Is there a way to import a revised prospect into an existing borrower so I don't have to process it all a second time? (My mistake...I should have made the changes in the borrower side but forgot.) Thanks for letting me know if it's possible.

Document Storage Problems

When I upload a document (or someone else even), then go back into the file (after closing out) I've been getting an error.

Most of the time it will actually open the document in PDF (I'm hitting "Print" so that it brings up the .pdf for the best viewing on my machine) but then I always get, "Error reading file, it may be corrupt" Hit ok, then I get " error code 0xC0000005.

Hit ok from there, and I get 0xC0150010 (error) and it forces me to close point.

This is when a file is read only for me. It seems to work fine when I work out of a folder that I can read or write to.

HELP! Very annoying....(to keep logging in!)

Auto File Naming

I have turned on Auto File Naming and set my paramiters in PointCentral Admin. I closed Point down and reopened it. When I go to Utilities then Auto File Naming, my borrower and prospect are both grayed out. I can't choose either one. Please help. :crying:

"Unable to connect" on file import

One of our processors is receiving a PDS error "Unable to connect to remote server" on attempting to open a PCF file from an email and import it into a PDS folder. Point is connected and able to open files in this folder without any errors otherwise. The same operation on another processor's PC works fine and the users have the same access rights. I've attached a screenshot of the error.

Any clue?

Importing a Master Template - either BRW or PRS

I have the Master Templates all set up on one machine so that files populate how I need them to with the new GFE/providers list, etc. What I need to know is how to get these templates to another workstation. Do I have to manually re-enter all information or is there a way to place the template file from the Borrower or Prospect data folders onto the other machine? It doesn't appear to populate when I do this.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Export Point Data for specific people

I have a company that is going out of business and all of the employees are going separate ways and would like to export their individual point files. I was wondering if this is a easy thing to accomplish or will it require a lot more than file-> export?

Importing PDF Into Document Storage

Hello,

We are currently at Point 7.2, and are experiencing a bizzare issue. We've started to heavily use the document storage feature of Point. And it is working great with one exception. When we try to import certain PDF documents it will fail. The biggest culprits are the ones that have security applied to them by appraisers when they send them to us. We can open them, and they don't require a password, however Point is unable to open them.

Is there a setting/something I am doing wrong?

Import.exe and PDS server

I have been using import.exe for years to both create and update prospect/borrower files. Recently we switched to PDS server and I now find that import.exe will still create files but will no longer update existing files. Any ideas what happened and how it can be fixed?

Importing Point File Issue

We used to be able to import emailed point files from our correspondent banks into our Point System but have had trouble importing with Point 7.0 and 7.1. Please advise if anyone else has had this problem and how to correct this.

FNM files

I work through Point Central and wanted to import a file from my clients software to my individual Point Software. I haven't had any issues uploading files when I received a file in PCF format but now I have an FNM file and it will not upload to my Point Software. Is there a way to do this. I tried changing the file name to PCF but that didn't work.

1) how do i install calyx so that it points and saves database to the server?

2) how to transfer successfully all his current data from the c drive to the new pc?

upgrade 6.2 to 7.1 import breaking

I have a custom script that runs via console against the import.exe script. This worked with versions 6.0 - 6.2

An example script would be:
> C:\WINPOINT\import.exe C:\Import.imp D:\point\PNTDATA\BORROWER /F:00145909.BR

What is causing me problems is that if I look in the borrower folder, the point file is correctly created.
I can navigate to it from within point and open the file, which imports it fully and makes it available to search.
Before, as soon as the script was run it imported fine and was available to search.

Importing from Credit Plus in 7.1

When I go into "request credit" and put in the reference number. After I "submit" a screen comes up the says it is trying to convert a PDF and my machine freezes. The credit reporting agency tells me it is a problem with Point 7.1

How to export entire CardEx to Excel?

Mass Import?

My harddrive had to be replaced on my laptop. I've reinstalled Calyx and had all my old files stored one my Maxtor External Harddrive. It looks like I can import them one at a time so far, but that will take quite a while. Any way to mass import my old files? Any help is greatly appreciatated.

Automatic reporting of status change

I'm not sure where to post this so I'll post it on the reports forum too.

I'm using Point 7.0 and need to send automatic emails to loan officers when the status on a file changes. Like when the loan is submitted to underwriting, I want an email to go out to the loan officer so they don't call the processor all the time. There are 7 other status changes I want to take action on but it's just too hard to do this manually. Is there a way to set Point to do this automatically for me?

Retrieve previous credit report

Is it possible to retrieve a previously pulled credit report in point?

My scenario is, I pulled credit in June, then we pulled credit again in September. We accidentally threw out the June credit report. Now the lender wants June's credit report as well. September's report is the only one I can find it point. Is there any way to retrieve it?? Thanks!

Turning on Auto File Naming

I am trying to do a batch import. I have turned on auto file naming while in the template screen but the setting will not hold after clicking OK. When I go to the new loan screen the auto file name is turned on. What am I missing, or is this a known bug?

We are working on creating a data warehouse and will be exporting data from PDS. The DBA's need to know what the field lengths are in PDS so that they can make sure that they duplicate those lengths in the data warehouse. Where can I find the field lengths?

FNM 3.2 Import Please advise

The leads I get from the vendor are .txt leads.

Per-diems (we use Calyx + DMO ) Need help

I have an issue with our closing department. I dont really understand the whole mortgage process so I might misstate something here but this is what I am looking to help with our closing department.

We have a problem; we use Calyx Point 7.0 PDS, this recently started happening. The per-diems in DMO change based on what Calyx is set on when we send the data to DMO. This never use to happen until the last couple Point up grades. To the best of my knowledge the per-diem was set by the loan product in DMO, if this was the case going foreword then we wouldn’t have anymore issues.

Can it be changed so the per-diem is set by the loan product in DMO and not the data passed from our system?

I need the Per-Diem (days per year) to stop transferring to the doc prep data export. The days per-diem should be driven in the doc prep software itself when we select the product in their software.

Those comments above are what is being asked by our closing department. Any information would be greatly appreciated and sorry if posting in the wrong area.

Getting additional employers self-employed status

Hi 2 all again.
Again I have a problem :). In point there is a screen, where user can add "additional current and former employers".
Using excel file in root folder of Point, loading field id for borrower i have known id's of all fields except checkboxes "Current employer" and "Self-employed". Comparing empty file and file with selected checkboxes also give nothing. But as data is saved in Point, so these fields should have ids :)
So, may you give me this id-s (8 for borrower and 8 for co-borrower) please? :blush:

Programmatically import to calyx

Hi!
It is clear to me how to write data to brw textfields,dropdowns and checkboxes.
But some fields are activated only when button is pressed. So, after programm writes data to them anything is shown :(
I can't find in SDK how to press a button :(.
LoanFile.GetData(***,BorrowerSetPositionType.Borrower)
and
LoanFile.GetDataAsDisplayed(***,BorrowerSetPositionType.Borrower)

returns null or "" in both cases - is button pressed or not:(
*** - id of button.

Data Import - Update Existing Entries

I am having an issue with the Data Import feature. I have written one test import, when I click Batch Import to update files already within the system, it just flashes and says it is complete - but never actually modifies the files. I edited the same test import to see if it would create files, and it was fine so the it only fails when trying to edit existing. The issue seems to me like it is not recognizing what files to update, and I have already tried the import both the file name and even the file name.brw but nothing seems to work. Has anyone had this issue before?

Database size recommendation - surprise

I noticed that our database reached 1GB in size and carries 14,000 records. I called Calyx to learn what the recommended way to archive some of the records and was surprised to discover that Calyx recommends a database of only 1,500 records.

The archive process is not a problem, but how does a Loan Officer accesses a record from the archive? I understood that the archive folder must be put back into the database (probably as a Data Folder) in order to find a record.

My idea is to archive by years, rather than by month. This way it would be easier to find a record in an archived folder named 2007.

Reading your reply, It looks like having a few Data Folders is better than archiving. I like this option, but I want to make sure this is the correct way of doing it. Yes, the search may take a few extra seconds when you have 15K files to look through.

How do you do it? Any ideas?

Import Template Format

So i've been working on making an import template to take txt files emailed from our online form and entering the data into point. I've pretty much figured out what I need to do except it would be a lot easier if instead of being column based the template was row based. As it is the txt files we get are like such:
"Name: john smith
Address: 123 funny st.
...
"

Whereas the template is preset to look for data as such:
"
Name Address...
John Smith, 123 funny st...
"

So any chance I can get the template to work via row's instead of columns?

Also does anybody know of any premade 3rd party templates that I could just customize my form to?

Missing data when saving a new borrower file from an old one.

When I try to copy a borrower to a new file, I am missing data. Some of the missing data includes:

Cell Phones
E-mail addresses
Insurance Agent
Year Built

We are using point 6.2b. The steps I am using:

File -> Save As...
Check the "Carry over 1003 data to start a new loan"
File -> Open the file from step 1

I get the same results if I try to "Copy.." from the Loan Search Results.

Please advise!

Output Data File & system variables

I'm trying to set up a custom export for multiple users. On XP machines, the template defines the output data file as: C:\DOCUMENTS AND SETTINGS\ALL USERS\DESKTOP\MYEXPORT.CSV

However, Vista doesn't support the above path.

Does Point support using system variables like
%HOMEPATH%\DESKTOP\MYEXPORT.CSV
?

I'd prefer not having 2 of the same export templates to maintain.

Export Status to Mortgagebot using Webbridge

We have just purchased Webbridge to export application status from Calyx to Mortgagebot. We use the custom installation in Calyx - not using the point data server, but loaded locally on 3 computers with access to shared folders. Although Webbridge can be installed on either a master pc or a network server, they recommend a network server and a mapped drive (although you can also use a shared folder). Is anyone else using this and have any recommendations and/or suggestions for installation and setup of Webbridge? I was leaning towards a 'master' pc over the server so that administration wouldn't require server access, but from reading through their instructions, they seem to really be geared to the server side.

Preceding zeros on credit report import

I don't know why I've never asked this before, but is there any way to eliminate the importing of the preceding zeros on the credit scores when ordering credit through Point?

We use Equifax Mortgage Services and when the credit scores are populated, it puts 1 preceding zero on Experian scores and 2 preceding zeros on Transunion and Equifax scores.

Conditions Info not in Prospect

We have set up some hardcoded condtions in the Track Conditions screen which is only available in the Borrower data folder. Is there any way to get this info populated when the file is moved from Prospect to Borrower without having to reimport the borrower master template. Each time we do this it wipes out our escrows.

Import from Optimal Blue

I am trying to set up an import from Optimal Blue (our pricing engine). I have followed the instructions on from the KB but cannot get it to work. I believe it may have something to do with the file I am importing from. OB generates a csv file which I then save as txt (tab delimitted) file. I am attempting to update existing files with lock information. It says Batch Imported but the fields in the file are empty. What am I doing wrong??:crazy:

We have built a web form similar to this one:

The aim is to get this txt/csv file imported to Calyxpoint. Can anyone help me with this?
