Meaning it populates when a new file is first opened in Point and saved.

The application date is designed to be entered for when the file becomes complete enough to consider it a "full" application. So if you enter just enough info to pull a credit for someone it wouldn't be considered "an application". Then when you collect all the necessary info and are ready to proceed with the loan, that would be when you would enter an application date and the file would be considered "working" with regards to RESPA and TILA.

My confusion comes in because of ECOA. ECOA states we have 30 days from the credit report pull date to notify the borrower of the status of their loan. If we can't pull reports specifically requesting the credit received date I'm going to have to pull a different report, include the credit report received date field and hope I get all the right data.

Good luck.............

RE: Prospect Date

Can you inquire back about Prospect Date which is the date the file was originally created, vs Date of Loan Application???

RE: Prospect Date

No luck getting to Calyx Support either and I couldn't handle the onhold music any longer.........

I was able to get thru to someone I know in PointCentral support via email and here was his response to my question about auto populating the Application Date field........

"There are no triggers for the application date.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />

We would recommend you create a rule that requires the LO to input the date when X occurs. Pulling Status dates from the Master Templates

He was told that it was set in 7.4 to pull from the templates as the 7.3 update of the word "Prospect" was confusing people, and this way the current status of new loans did not say prospect.

Had they just left it as "opened" it would not be an issue. And why would anyone think we would want to have any status on a new file populated from a template is beyond me.

Upon asking this question he responded "I dont know I am tech support, loan services would know more about that" but he would report it. So I asked if he could get back with me once they knew if it was due to be fixed...He humored me and put me hold...apparently they dont think it should be doing that and is reporting as a known bug for fix in an upcoming release. They are working on a True Service Pack but was not sure of the release date and if this would make it or not. FYI - He indicated it would be thru My Calyx, and the About Splash screen will show 7.4SP1 (or is that SP2 ;))

In the mean time it looks like we have to input it manually or it may just be the perfect time to learn how to use rules

RE: Prospect Date

Isn't that at all times of the day??;)

Have to get to the bottom of this sometime....

So I am now 57 minutes in...but am doing other work while listening to "background music"

Will post what I find out!

RE: Prospect Date
mtg admin (2/7/2011)
Funny you should ask....I am 13 minutes into holding for tech support to follow up since i did not see any response from Point on here...Will let you know what i find out :w00t:
At this time of day, you will be holding for over an hour but I bet you know that already ;)

RE: Prospect Date

Funny you should ask....I am 13 minutes into holding for tech support to follow up since i did not see any response from Point on here...Will let you know what i find out :w00t:

RE: Prospect Date

Either of you find a field that is updated automatically when it has been modified? (we waited hoping Calyx corrected some of the issues before we jumped in with both feet) However the Prospect date is auto populating for us to the date the file was opened originally.

I'm interested in what auto populates the "Application" date field because putting in the date on the 1003 doesn't do it. Any idea?

Prospect Date

In 7.3 the "Opened Date" In Track Status moved "Prospect Date" but still auto-populated the date the file was originally created in Point by a Loan Consultant.

We installed 7.4 over the weekend, and a Loan Consultant just realized it is not auto-populating the date....We pull Pre-Qual Reports based on the data in this field and LOVE that we did not have to rely on someone to input it.

We adjusted our reports after 7.3 in November and had to pull 2 sets of reports one looking at "Prospect Date" and another looking at "Application Date" for files that were opened in 7.2

Is this a 7.4 update done on purpose, or an oversight??

Just trying to figure out how we can Re-adjust how we do business again :hehe:
