We are on 7.0 and using PDS. We never had this issue before. We have upgraded all PCs to 2 gigs of RAM and they are still Crashing. Is anyone else having this issue?

Updates to Good Faith Estimate (2010)
• Removed signature lines from bottom of GFE page 3.
• Updated printing of the Tradeoff Table. The first column always prints regardless if Display Tradeoff Scenarios is checked.
• Updated the GFE to include a printout called Initial Fees Worksheet. The old GFE remains to print files disclosed before 1/1/2010.
• Added a Flood Certification Fee line to old GFE and Closing Cost Scenarios.
• NA or N/A can be entered on the new GFE for fees that are not applicable.
• Updated the Total From GFE 2010 field so it does not import from Closing Cost Scenario files.

Other Issues Resolved
1) Updated the PDF driver to resolve issues with viewing PDF files from interfaces and document storage.
2) Resolved issue with importing birthdates in the Freddie Mac LP interface.
3) Updated the PointCentral Rule triggers to ensure rules trigger with multiple conditions.
4) Resolved issue with how non-occupying co-borrower fields are synchronized in Co-Borrower files.
5) Revised how the Originator, Company, and Branch NMLS fields are entered in Utilities and the 1003. As per NMLS requirement, the NMLS fields accept only numeric values.
6) Updated the Closing Documents interface to resolve issues when entering missing fields for a docs order.
7) The monthly payment is automatically updated when changing the Up-Front Mortgage Insurance.

Running Point and Point Central on the same computer

I must have completely missed that in the beta notes, etc. I didn't see anything about losing the Banker:Funding screen. I use that screen extensively for determining profitability of a loan.

I've skimmed the User Guide for 7.2 and it seems to direct me to the Banker:Fees & Impounds and that has no where near the information that I need. The field IDs I'm referring to are 11720, 11731, 11732, 11734, 11735 specifically.

This is major for me as my entire reconciliation structure and process was highly dependant on this screen.

Product & Pricing Interface

The new Product & Pricing Interface is a nice addition, but we can't figure out how to get it to work properly. We use Optimal Blue as our pricing engine and the interface seems to work as expected going from Point to Optimal Blue. However, we can't seem to figure out how to get the pricing and interest info from Optimal Blue to populate in Point...

The User Guide seems to indicate that you can populate the pricing and interest rate from the pricing engine and refers to a "Clear Pricing Engine Results" button, which would be used to allow for manual entry of the pricing and interest values after they were populated by the interface (see excerpt below):

If you use the product and pricing interface to obtain pricing and populate the Pricing from Rate Sheet and the Interest Rate from Rate Sheet sections, the values are disabled and cannot be edited. To remove the pricing, click the Clear Pricing Engine Results button below the Prepay Type dropdown list. If the pricing engine was cleared or if the Pricing from Rate Sheet and the Interest Rate from Rate Sheet sections were populated manually, the Clear Pricing Engine Results button is not visible.

The User Guide doesn't have any instructions on how to use the Product and Pricing Interface, so we're not sure if we're missing a step, or if this feature is not yet fully functional, or maybe the problem is with Optimal Blue?

We'd love it if we could actually get this to work properly.

Point Data Server upgrade to PointCentral

I have looked in the Knowledge Base and these forums. I have even looked on disk two which contains the PointCentral installation. I am unable to find the documentation for upgrading my point data server to pointcentral. What are the gotch ya's, what do I need to be careful of?

I just finished deploying Point 7.1 to the clients so that should be easy to upgrade them. But the server side isn't documented.

"Initial Escrow Account Setup" form generating different numbers in 7.1 versus 7.0

We recently upgraded most of our computers to Point 7.1 and have noticed a change that I am hoping to get some clarification on.

Simply put, in the "1000: Reserves Deposited With Lender" section of the "Good Faith Estimate" form there is a button labeled "Table" that brings up the "Initial Escrow Account Setup" form. In previous versions of Point properly filling out that table and clicking "OK" on this form would populate the "1000: Reserves Deposited With Lender" section just fine.

After the upgrade to 7.1 we are getting very different numbers. Hundreds of dollars different.

I am able to put two laptops side by side at my desk, one running 7.0 and the other 7.1, open the same file in each (read-only for one, obviously), double check the "Initial Escrow Account Setup" table to be sure they are exactly the same, click "OK" and I get these radically different numbers.

Ideas?

Error installing Point 7.1 upgrade on version 7.0

Every time I try to install 7.1 to the server, it makes it through the installation process all the way to the end of the "copying files" section and then pops up "Error copying files". I get this error whether I install from the server or from a workstation. I checked to make sure everyone was out of Point before installing and none of the files are in use. It just refuses to install.

Tradeoff Table

Error 41

We had our upgrade last night. We get an error 41, printer error when we try to save docs to document storage, or try to email docs. Was this the result of the upgrade? Any help would be appreciated.

Update always installs when Point is launched

I applied the SP to 7.0 via the Netsetup and now every time Point is opened it goes through the update install process. It says it installed successfully and the SP shows to installed on the Point Splash screen, but it won't stop trying to install.

1st & 2nd lien error message

Since I deployed the service pack to 7.0, my users have had a hit and miss problem with the linking of 1st & 2nd lien files. The error message is attached. They said that it would sometimes do this before the SP but they could close out and go back and it would be fine. But that's not the case now. Again, it doesn't happen to every file.

Reverse Mtg application and Commercial loans

Point 7.0 Service Pack 1 Available

Point 7.0 Service Pack 1 is now available. This update corrects critical issues:

* The memory usage of Point is handled better. Point continues to operate regardless of how many windows and screens are open.
* The “Other Financing” amount is saved when entering the monthly payment in the “Housing Expenses” section.
* Loan Amount data is retained when opening loans that were created in previous Point versions.
* Performance of the Good Faith Estimate screen is improved. The screen opens faster and Point continues to operate smoothly.
* Fix for Citrix/Terminal Services installations where Point is not recognizing the user-specific winpoint.ini file. Note this does not include the fix for Point Administrator. Please e-mail me for the fix to PointAdmin.exe.

This update also includes all previous fixes in the Point 7.0 VA Form Update:
* Section 15 of Form 26-0286 contains a new field “Prior Loan Type”, to capture the type of loan being refinanced.
* PDF credit reports are no longer blank.
* Fannie Mae credit reports are now printable.
* All PDF file types can now be added to document storage. In some cases, certain file types display as a blank file; in these cases there is now an “open document” button that allows the document to open/display its contents in its native application outside of Point.

Banker screens questions

Ok. As a Banker, these screens are fantastic... but you guys know me by now, I have a few questions/requests on the Banker screens.

1. Business Channel dropdown - is there an editable .INI file that I can change these? I like the Retail, Wholesale, Brokered, Correspondent options, but I'd like to change them slightly for my business lines. I've looked all over and I don't see it under Utilities either.

2. Underwriting decision on Banker>Underwriting - Is there a reason why utilizing this dropdown box does not update the loan status? When I choose Approve, Suspend, Deny or Cancelled, it does not flow through to the rest of Point and update the loan's status. I want to maximize use of this function, but don't want to experience differences in status that can arise. The HMDA denial reasons seem to flow fine, but that seems to be it for that section.

3. Banker>Conditions - First of all, LOVE IT... But, is there a reason that the conditions don't populate over to the Track>Conditions fields. Or, at least, to the Mortgage Loan Commitment form? It seems like a large duplication of work for my Processing staff to copy/paste the conditions one at at time when my Underwriting staff is already keying it in.

Faulting application error in Point

We currently have Point installed on 15 Citrix servers. One user is getting a varity of messages during the course of her day. It isn't server specific or task specific. The lastest is as follows:

Reporting queued error: faulting application Winpoint.exe Version 6.2.997.822 faulting module ntdll.dll. version 5.2.3790.3959, fault address 0x00010a5b.

This only began to occur since we upgraded Point and moved the users to Windows Server 2003.

Underwriter name changing

Ever since we upgraded to 7.0, whenever someone goes into lock a loan in the Registration and Rate Lock page, as soon as the locked box is checked, the file changes the underwriter name to the current user. I called tech support, but all they did was tell me "it must be a bug".

Anyone else having this happen? Any ideas to get around this? It's wreaking havoc with our underwriting tracking reports, since it shows our lock desk girl as the underwriter on half the loans.

Different Build versions of Calyx Point 7.0

Hello folks, within the last few days I upgraded our five Calyx Point users to Calyx Point 7.0, then I applied the VA update followed by a patch that was released by Calyx on May 1, 2009 in regards to a VA Compliance update. I have noticed different Build versions among our users ranging from 1049.78 up to 1049.82. I reinstalled the latest update but nothing changed. Is there something that I can look at to see why this is happening? Thanks

Document Storage error with 7.0

Ok, I'm getting the following error when attempting to attach a basic .pdf form:

This document "PATRIOT ACT ID.pdf" contains elements that cannot be stored.

The document in question is the exact same document that I may or may not have used during the beta testing that I may or may not have done. ;)

Another Document Storage question

Is there a way to remove the preview panel on the left side of the Document Storage window? (PDS, cough, PointCentral maybe?)

I have a couple of issues with it: 1. It eats up about 25% of the the viewable screen. 2. I don't like the availability of that red X. Deleting document pages is the devil.

Loving all the upgrades, though... two thumbs up on 7.0 !! and looking forward to PointCentral (we flip the switch to it on 4/1)

Printing and other problems since upgrading

Since we upgraded to 7.0, we have had two problems. The first is after we order credit through Fannie, if we go to print, we get the following message "Encountered an improper argument". At that time, we usually have to shut down point completely or nothing will print.

The second issues is after running du, if we try to save the results and go back to the application, it takes forever and two different messages come up saying it is the converting the file to PDF. One says converting from SOA to PDF and the other says converting from FDH to PDF. Any suggestions.

Disappointments of 6.2

Credit Score Information Disclosure Page 2 prints an address instead of the borrower's name in the signature line.

The address in the Security Line of the TIL does not update when the address changes and the checkboxes in the Security line of the TIL do not update as Purchase or Refi are selected.

A PDF must still be created by an admin user before non-admin users will be able to create PDFs.

The FHA/VA Addendum is still broken (Open a new file. Enter a sale price, loan amount, rate, and term. Check FHA. Click Print and choose the FHA/VA Addendum - Pg 1 and then choose a custom form. This will cause the FHA/VA Addendum to show "1,351" in field 12b.)

Earnest Money (Page 3) and Cash Deposit (Page 4) still do not fully sync.

Linked first and second mortgage files still cannot be moved from Prospect to Borrower without breaking the link.

Read-only users still cannot add entries to the conversation log.

No sign of the hinted at document management capability.

No conditional print groups.

There is no syncing between Prospect/Borrower and Coborrower 1, 2, 3, etc. files.

Using Point 5.2

Helping out this small mortgage office. They are currently using Point 5.2. Is it worth it for them to upgrade. Two people in this office. They've told me they have heard some concerns about updating to current version and that it wouldn't be worth it.

Point 6.2 Issues

Is there a reason why Calyx can't post a list of known 6.2 issues here so we don't have to call and wait 20 minutes to be told that we know about this and it will be fixed in a patch.

Both times I have called I have asked what other issues there are so I can make my loan officers aware of them and I am told that a patch will be release with the fixes for issues being researched.

A simple list updated daily would be helpful and seems like it would cut down the number of calls to Calyx support.

POINT 6.1a & Verification forms

We are working in POINT 6.1a and have noticed that the wording "See Attachment" does not print in the signature box on some verification forms, even with the print box being checked. Haven't figured out why it prints on some but not others.

Please advise if anyone is having the same problem and if you found the solution, other than manually typing it in.

Calyx Point Server Update and .Net Framework Error

My office has had a problem with the .net framework errors when webcaster loads ever since we updated our Calyx Point Server to 6.1. We have the webcaster software load upon Windows startup, however it will not fully load to the point where the software is accessable to the user interface and a .net framework error message pops up saying:

If we click continue, the webcaster software appears to be running when looking at task manager, however it is not an accessable program in the system tray. The splash menu does not load either. Point works perfectly fine. The annoyance of the error message and lack of webcaster usability appears to be the only problems. Any suggestions how we can eliminate this issue and regain webcaster access?

Playing with 6.1 on my tst laptop and when I open Point I am not stopped for a user name and password. Point Admin has a user setup w/ password. Why is it doing this?

My settings appear to be the same as my other laptop with 5.4 and it stops me while launching the app for a user name and pass.

Loan checklist in 6.1

First of all, let me say that I absolutely love the Loan checklist in version 6.1, but...

I would like to see (or be informed of) a way to rearrange the order of the items listed on the checklist. I have set up our standard list in our template, but they are not in any order than makes sense. I'd love to be able to arrange them in chronological order.

Point 5.3 and 4.3 Compatibility

We're merging two brokers' processing centers, one broker has been using Point 5.3 for several years now and the other broker has been using 4.3 and does not want to upgrade because 5.3 freezes up when using hotkeys. I need to either

A) keep it from freezing up and upgrade everybody or

B) downgrade everybody to 4.3 and find a way to downgrade all of the first broker's last few years worth of 5.3 files so that she can still access them.

Any advice?

Track: General Gone from Shortcut bar in 6.0b

I'm wondering if I'm the only one this happened to. I ran the 6.0b update, and now Track:General does not appear on the shortcut bar in Borrower files. Track: Prs General is still available in Prospect files and I can still access the Track:General page in Borrower files by going through the top menu.

Originally I posted this in "Suggestions and Requests" and realized that it belongs in this topic instead.

Being from a border state to Washington, we do quite a few Washington loans. Currently with the new 6.0a update, you have to manually select who each fee belongs to to comply with Washington state law. It would a be much easier if you could add those drop-down fee descriptors to a Closing Cost Scenario so that it doesn't have to be re-entered on every file. Or if not that, some other way to save a default for those drop-down fee descriptions.
