The highest RECID is 10340. We deploy the new version on two machines before we deploy it on the additional 40 machines to ensure that we don't run into any unexpected bugs that could potentially inhibit workflow. So yes, at the moment, two users are running 5.3 while 40 are running 5.2. Judging by the tone of the response, I'm assuming that the 5.3 version of the cardex database is not compatible with the 5.2 client application.

RE: Cardex Error: "Index was outside the bounds of the array" - Point 5.2

what version of point is this happening on? are you running 5.2 and 5.3 at the same time?

Cardex Error: "Index was outside the bounds of the array" - Point 5.2

We use Cardex extremely heavily. In fact we currently have over 6500 records. I received a few reports this morning saying that Cardex wasn't working. When I checked it out for myself I found that when I tried to open the database from within point I received an error message stating, "Index was outside the bounds of the array." I opened the backend in access and performed a repair/compact but that didn't solve the problem. I scanned through the records looking for anything out of ordinary that might indicate corruption, but everything looked normal. Anyone know what could be causing this? I am going to restore the database with my most recently functioning backup for now, but I don't want this to happen again. Is there some precoded size limit to the database? The error almost sounds like someone used a static array when they were programming the cardex viewer in point and it can't index more than a certain number of records because the number of elements in the array needs to be increased. Luckily I backup cardex every 15 minutes! :P<P>Tim
