Exporting to webcaster

If the loan application already exists and borrower only needs to make few changes, it will help to export existing data from Point to Webcaster.

Mulitple applications

Webcaster only allows one application to be handled. Using different emails is not an option for some borrowers.

Long Loan Applications

The Long Loan Applications has been a great service to my company, but my clients find it to be a little too much. I know under the Loan applications Configuration page you can check and uncheck what you would like to Display for the online loan, ie. Contact Info, Loan/Property, Personal Info.....

I was hoping Calyx would allow the administrator more options. First it would be great to have to "(Required information fields appear in bold)" but also displayed in Red. Make it very very easy for the user to see them.

Secondly, have the administrator should be able decide what is to be required and what shouldn't. Some information i see as very important for myself to complete a loan, but other fields i don't see as important and I don't want to have my clients on the online application for more time than they have to be.

Thirdly, It would be great to have a Index, for those of us using the "iframe" site design. An Index of where you are at during the online loan process. Providing a simply "Page 2 of 11" on the top of the page would give the user and a clear understanding of where they are at in the online loan process, and how much further they have to do.

These three things would greatly improve the quality of the online Long Loan Application. Thanks

Confirmation Emails

I am happy that calyx webcaster provides Confirmation Email to my loan applicants when they finish filling out a loan, but is there any way to modify this email to have images or hyperlinks. It seems like the textbox is not using HTML and the email is only sending out text based emails. I would love to be abble to modify this confirmation email to provide an image header or even links back to my website. Is this possible? Is there some kind of code that can be used? If, not Calyx Webcaster should get on this. HTML emails should be a standard.

Prospect and Borrower Templates

Please tell me that there either is a way for POINT to do this, or that it is something that is being worked on!

We have created borrower and prospect master templates. Currently when we need to make a change to a fee (as with the new change to the RD fee to 3.5%), it must be changed in ALL of our RD templates in both Prospect and Borrower on an individual basis. Is there something coming that would basically "tie" the prospect and borrower template together, so that when you made a "canned fee" change in the prospect template, it would make the same change in the corresponding borrower template? That would sure save a lot of data input and possible errors by missing a template!

WebCaster Site Templates

For those who have a niche in the market, it would be nice to see site templates offered that are "themed" for that particular niche. For example, for entities that specialize in VA loans, Calyx could offer a site template with Bald Eagles, American flags, stars and stripes, etc. For reverse mortgages, it could focus on senior citizens, AARP links, etc.

Dual Factor Authentication

Do you have any sort of dual-factor authentication inside of WebCaster? This would require users who create a partial application and save it to use a second form of authentication to log in when they come back. I work for a bank that uses one of your competitor's products for online mortgage applications (which we then download into Point), and the OCC said that we need dual-factor authentication for it since a mortgage application holds so much confidential information. Your competitor said they have gotten the request from other banks but have yet to implement it.

If you don't have this already, do you have any plans to do so?

We have just launched WebCaster a few weeks ago and I have been working on SEO.

The biggest struggle has been getting Google and Yahoo! to crawl the site and add it to a search. Once that is accomplished the battle begins to increase your page rank. Google offers free site information but you need to verify you are the owner of the site by adding a meta-tag or an HTML file. The meta-tag must go in the sites home page in the first <HEAD> section of the page, before the first <BODY> section. It does not appear I can do this or add the HTML file. I also wanted to add a site map but I am unable to do that also. They also recommend added a robots.txt file, as they check for these once a day.

Does Calyx plan to give WebCaster admin the ability to add any of the above options to assist in optimizing the website?

HMDA Reporting

I would like an improvement on the HMDA reporting Form. This should be more automated. Currently clicking the link takes you to a popup window where there is a HTML link to the website

Why couldn't this be set to populate in that field on the website, or better yet query the Geocode website, retrieve the codes and populate back in to Calyx Point for you.

Multiple Titles

I would like to be able to have different titles for each page on my website. Currently all pages match the same title as the home page. By having multiple titles I can increase my organic search results. I've seen this on a few mortgage websites by Oppenheimer. Can this be done with Calyx Web Caster? Anyone know?

Un-Married Co-Borrower File Fields in Reports

Please add the ability to pull information from the fields in un-married co-borrower files (.cb1, .cb2, .cb3, etc.) into Reports!

I would like to be able to create mailing labels for our un-married co-borrowers, but I am unable to pull any information out of those files using the "Reports" function in Point. I would also like to be able to export data out of those files (.cb*) for use in other programs.

;) Is there any way you can include a field for the lock date. We need that date for the HMDA Report, the Rate Spread. I am starting to add it on the tracking/general screen, but it would be nice if there was a place for it.

File open

After I downloaded the file from WC desktop, I checked the box Open Point, Point opens but not the file. Are you going have the downloaded file open too in your next version? :D
