Does anyone use digital signatures with point? I want to move to digital for speed and also so there are not missed signatures on the return packages. Any recommendations of companies that are aligned with point to facilitate this? Thanks

I have a customer that uses point that is trying to do a complete remote loan process. Basically they would use symantec for the remote desktop connection, then wanted to use a digital pad for the applicant to sign the loan documents. Then they would save them and could e-mail the pdf to the client and then to where ever they would want to for backup.

Has anyone heard of trying this and if so what hardware or licenses are needed (Acrobat Professional)?

Duplicating loans

Ballon Note

I am in the process of doing a balloon note that is tied to CD rate of 3.4% and will change in 6 months the balloon note is for 12 months with interest only payments (monthly). I can not get the information to populate to the GFE 2010 correctly, It will not state that the balloon note is for 12 months it stays blank I think I may have the TIL incorrect any help would be appreciated

USDA (Rural Development) Funding Fee calculation

I have been using this software for 16 years now. I hope that Calyx quickly makes the necessary changes. Calyx tech instruction are to put the USDA funding fee in as PMI, MIP financed. When doing so the fee is calculated off of base loan amount. This is not correct. The fee should be calculated off of total loan amount. I request that a feature is added in the 900 section of fee worksheet which automaticaly calculates the correct USDA funding fee off of the total loan amount. We currently have to manually calculate each time on the 2010 GFE so the fee shows up in box 3. It cannot currently be inputed on the initial fee worksheet to bleed to box 3 of 2010 GFE. Any suggestions from anyone in the mean time?

How is everyone making sure they have all the correct State specific initial disclosures? Calyx does not have them so when working in multiple states how are you making sure you have what you need without soliciting the help from an outside vendor?

Setting up data folders by location

I would like to organize our data folders according to Location as described on page 119 of the user guide. I put in a data folder with the name of a state. How do I create the sub folders with the offices within the state. In the example on page 119, you have Florida, then Orlando, then the data folders In Process, closed cancelled. etc with other offices in that state.

Which leads to the question when will an interface to Marksmen be available? We are on a Point PDS 6.0 886.52.

We don't document the PDS schema and its subject to change at any time (version upgrade.). If you take a look at the TemplateFile table, I think it contains what you're looking for.

My question is "Why not?" Since customer are provided SQL access AND it makes good database management sense, why not enforce a data schema stability?

Just wanted to say how much I appreciate the work people of Calyx have done to provide the Calyx Point software, the forums, the knowledgebase, and more, mainly because it's VERY helpful... alot better than most support sites I've been too. I also greatly enjoy Calyx Point and it's fuctionality and ease of troubleshooting, espeically when it only takes a few minutes to browse the forums or knowlegebase for some common issues, and the more difficult ones... well, the forums make that awesome because I know it's easier to work on a major issue slowly over forums rather than quickly over the phone (Most of the time this is true :) )

I probably have over 2 dozen bookmarks to various places in the knowledgebase alone...:cool:

It's also great to see people who are willing and actually TRY to help people out when there's problems with Calyx stuff. In working in a enviroment where I deal with alot of people a day, I know that MANY are sometimes very irate even when you try to provide them the best of service, and here's Calyx Support... they keep going :)

My Sister & I have opened a business together & we are exploring the possibility of installing our own Muti-line Phone network.

Has anyone here done this & if so what are the Pro's & Con's or Pitfalls?

Are there any Tips anyone could give us?
