Task reminders

I found an old post (2007) regarding the issue of checking the remind me box in the task screen and it reminding the person who set up the task instead of the person who the task is assigned to and found that Calyx specifically designed tasks to work this way. However, when I read the user manual it says...

"To issue a reminder to the person assigned to the task, select the Remind me check box and enter a date and time for the reminder."

I'm really hoping that Calyx changed their mind and agrees that the person who is assigned the task needs to be the one who is reminded. I swear I tested that a few weeks ago and it worked like that, but when I tried it again today, I got the reminder instead of the person I assigned the task to.

Is anyone able to get this to work where the assignee will somehow at least be notified of the task?

E-mailing from Point using Outlook

Brand new PC from Dell with Windows XP SP2, Office 2003 SP3 and Point 6.1a. If i choose to e-mail a PDF from Point I get the following error:

"The operation failed"

I click OK and then get "Unspecified Failure" has occurred

Outlook is the default program in Internet Explorer. If I click on any html mailto: links, it opens Outlook properly. No other problems with Outlook, just emailing from Point. I have read a couple other threads on this forum talking about the same error from 2 or 3 years ago, and none of the fixes worked. Any ideas what's going on?

Email from Point to Google Apps instead of Outlook

My client recently switched email providers to Google Apps. Any ideas how we can get Point to use Google Apps as the default mail client instead of Outlook?

When I changed the default email program in Internet Options (Windows XP SP3) to Google Apps - Gmail, Point couldn't find any email application to use when sending an email. Email links work to automatically open the browser to a new email message in Google Apps. I'm thinking maybe it has something to do with sending the attachment to Google Apps - Gmail.

Saving email sent from Point

I apologize if this topic has already been posted and/or addressed. I looked through the postings and didn't find one addressing this question.

Is it possible to save the emails that are sent through Point, regardless of the email portal your system uses (i.e. Outlook)?

We would like a way to save emails sent for retention and documentation purposes. If we send the initial disclosures via email from Point to the borrower, we would like to see Point document that somehow; either through a saved email in the Document Storage section or in the user's email application, i.e. Outlook.

Right now our users cut and copy a draft email and place it into the email body that will be sent out. Is there a way to autopopulate the body of an email?

I can try and explain a bit more in detail if needed but I think the main question would be can the body be autopopulated when sending as email.

The new feature for Document Storage is great... but is there a way to have the stored documents simply be attached when the Data File is emailed?

This would be very convenient for sending ONE email to a processor or administrator for document retention after closing.

I would like to limit emailing from Point (v5.4) so that my client's Loan Officers can only send Point Files to the Loan Processors. I'm not seeing how to do this in the manuals. Am I overlooking something?

Hello,

I have a LO who can print docs, save docs as PDF, but can not email. She gets to the part where she puts in the pass, does that, and then says Ok. After this nothing happens. With other LO's GroupWise will open and then open a new mail message, or if already open it will just open a new email message.

We have Calyx Point 5.4 installed and we use GroupWise 7.0.

The user is able to click on links on the web that opens a new email message. And is able to do the same thing from our online origination system (OpenClose).

We have tried to reinstall the Calyx Document Converter via the .exe in the Winpoint folder but this has not helped. Any ideas please?

I am unable to email from Point, although the Office Outlook window opens and I can attach files to the email, but when I send, there is no history of the email, and the recpient is not getting them, including myself when I try to send one. I use Outlook express as my default email, and I have gone into the control panel to see if that is the setting, and it is. Help please, as more and more lenders are going paperless, I'm helpless!

Not able to save point.pcf from Outlook

I have a user running Point 6.0B, WinXP and Office 2003. When she gets emails with point file attachments, she cannot open them directly, nor save them as attachments. When she tries to do either, she gets an Office Outlook popup error message box that reads: :Can't create file POINT.PCF. Right clock the folder you want to create the file in, then clock properties on the shortcut menu tocheck your permissions for the folder."

I have tried saving the attachment to her desktop, C:\temp, MyDocuments - all to no avail. She does not have a problem creating Point files themselves, and she can email them out or forward emails with point files attached and the recipient can open the attachments fine.

I took a stab at changing her Outlook format to Word, ran Word repair, checked her Folder View File type for .pcf which shows PCF (just like 2 other computers). changed the permissions on the temp folder to all users full control, Nothing.

I tried to send a Word document renamed to .pcf and it saved fine. Did not get a chance to rename a true point.pcf to something else in case it is looking at the actual file.

any thoughts?

Wrong name on forms when sending emails

When some of my LO's try to email forms (both custom and non-custom) they get the wrong applicant information. This was also happening when they print. I think I found out how to fix the printing error on a different forum by deleting the temp.brw file out of the work folder under the administrator user login. That was just done today and so far seems to be working for printing the forms but not for emailing.

What are my options?

Station A: When trying to email a 1003/custom form for Mr. Smith, it emails the form with Mr. Jones' information.

Station B: When trying to email a 1003/custom form for Mr. Smith, it emails the form with Mr. Bells information.

How are most of you creating mailing lists to past clients from Point?

We currently change the present address (ID fields 102-105) to the customer's mailing address after it closes. We've done this for years because we can't use subject property address field (ID Fields 31-34) since we have a lot of investment properties and 2nd homes.

We are getting ready to purchase CRM software to interface with Point and now realize that this may have been a mistake.:crying:

So I'm wondering how other offices use Point for mailings...

When sending a form group via email or printing to a PDF, only 2 of about 8 custom form in the form group appear as blank in the PDF. All other custom forms appear fine. This form group prints fine to a printer, and I have reloaded the doc convertor already, thinking that may be the issue.

Equifax Interface Error

I get this error when I request credit through Calyx via Equifax.

Anyone know how to solve this? I may need to download the software interface from Equifax since I just signed up with them as my credit report provider.

Email Signatures

When sending email from Point, it appears to open an Outlook window (in our case) to compose the message, but the default signature for the user does not appear. Going to Insert\Signature inserts the (formerly HTML) signature in what appears to be Plain Text, resulting in double-spacing and no images.
Is there any way to automatically include the default signature in its correct format?

Emailing Credit Reports

Emailing custom forms

When I email a form group containing a custom form I get this error from AutoWord.

Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup.
Try one or more of the following:
*Check the printer by printing a test page from windows
*Make sure the printer is turned on and online.
*Reinstall the printer driver.

This has been going on for ever, and only happens with custom forms. I am running 5.2 and PDS

I am trying to email disclosures to my client, and for some reason, I keep getting a DriverInit Failed message. I finally saved the disclosures as a Microsoft Image file to my desktop, and sent that as an attachment. I'm not sure how well that will work, as the file is an .mdi file rather than a .doc file. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Emailing Task Notification

I find that I have a need for an email notification whenever I create a task and assign it to that person. Also, whenever the status of a task changes it could email to the creator.

Also it would be nice if an email is sent to all the people involved when the loan status changes . It would automatically go to the Loan Rep and Processor, but then a "Group" could be created to add others involved such as the manager or owner of the company.

Point 5.1 emailing with Novell Groupwise 6.5

We have several PC's that we updated 5.1 and all but one of them will email files/forms from point through Groupwise 6.5. I have one PC that is not working. Whenever you go to email a file/form it brings up the internet connection wizard. All of the computers were upgraded keeping the previous setings. The PC that has the problem was working before the upgrade. Any thoughts or ideas??? Thanks in advance for any help.
