Create a local data folder on the C drive, using your Point Administrator. In that local data folder, create one or two loan files. Run a couple different reports on the files in that local data folder. Does it have the same problem? I'm trying to narrow down the problem to something wrong with the Point files, or something else.

RE: Pointreport.exe Causing Error Since 6.1A

If I log in to the Citrix server via RDP and run the pointreport.exe, it does display the blank report window. It also does this when I published the pointreport.exe and launched it through a remote Citrix session. However running a report inside of Point running through Citrix still fails.

RE: Pointreport.exe Causing Error Since 6.1A

Ok, thanks. On the Citrix server, can you go to the winpoint folder, double-click on PointReport.exe? You are supposed to get a PointReport window. Does anything happen? If you look at Task Manager, is PointReport.exe running?

RE: Pointreport.exe Causing Error Since 6.1A

Since this problem is only on the three Citrix servers we use for outside office employees to use, and not the "netsetup" clients we use at our office, I doubt it's a corrupted executable, but I'll give it a shot and see.

Update: Didn't work. I did notice though that the report runs, but when it comes time to display the results is when nothing happens and the event is logged.

RE: Pointreport.exe Causing Error Since 6.1A

Can you do a fresh installation of Point 6.1a on a different computer, then grab the PointReport.exe out of the winpoint folder, and replace the one on the Citrix server?

RE: Pointreport.exe Causing Error Since 6.1A

We have Point installed on three Citrix servers. On each of these servers the reporting executable causes the above message. Nothing appears on the screen when attempting to run the report, so it either doesn't actually run the report (crashes while attempting) or when it comes time to display the results it then crashes. I don't know which is the case.

As I mentioned (I think) previously, this has only been happening since we downgraded from 6.0B to 6.1A.

RE: Pointreport.exe Causing Error Since 6.1A

P.S. is your computer the only computer that has the error.
