With the basic Calyx Point functions I have no problem mapping different fields to our custom forms. However, I am running into some issues where when I want to perform calculations I get error messages from the printer if one of the mapped fields was blank.

For instance:
Lets say I want to take field 701+702+705 and display it on my custom form. My process was to use the Calc function that is built into word. So I would enter something like this
=(701+702+705) ... I would then replace 701 with the merge point field 701, and so on and so on for the rest of the values. When printing the doc if all of those fields have values I am fine. If one of these fields is blank I get an error from the printer.

I'm sure I could fix this with an If Then Else statement but the function for this provided by Calyx doesn't seem to be to effective. Or maybe I'm just doing something wrong.

Does anyone have a pointers, suggestions, help ... ?

p.s. - I understand that this could be handled by using Visual Basic with the forms, but our staff does not consist of programmers.

Thank you,
Eric Lilly

FHA Request for Appraisal

On the Request for Appraisal form screen, the FHA Case Number field is there. I need to review over 150 items in every file in our system each day to make sure we're in compliance and to help processing find possible problems. I tried using reports but that was really overwhelming. I just need something that the processor can run that will do a cross check of several items to make sure the file is consistent.

One more thing. Does anybody know where the field is for prepayment penalty expiration date? I can't find it.

Consolidating Disclosures into one Form.

Does anyone know if the disclosures that are required by state and federal law can be consolidated onto one form, or at least a more limited number of pages, instead of having a separate page for each disclosure? Are there any that are required to be printed on their own forms?

We would like to shorten out application form as much as possible and some of these disclosures have less than a full paragraph worth of text in some cases.

Glenn K. It's the same borrower/file so it's not making sense to me. Anyone else have this problem?

I ran them at the same time on seperate computers and got 2 different sets of numbers.

Anyone experience this that knows a fix?

3 day alert

As with federal and state laws we are required to send out RESPA's or turndowns within 3 days of application. Is there any deafult setting that would remind you of this on the 3rd day after an application is started. WE do a good job of getting these out, but every once in a while one gets missed. Then we have to re assign groups to the folder. we have over 250 branches and this will take a very long time. Is there an easier way to fix that data?

addresses for disclosures

Could someone tell me what addresses I use or where I find the addresses for the following notices.
