We sometimes had issues with bad UserProfiles.INI files where the UI was totally messed up because this file would get corupted.

I just had the same problem with 6.2, but the UserProfile.INI file seems to no longer have any bearing on reparing the UI.

Any ideas?  I have a user that is dead in the water (or I have to completely uninstall / reinstall every time this happens).

Thanks!

EDIT : Scratch that... even uninstalling it doesn't work!  The UI is still unusable.

Ya... if the userprofile.ini file gets hosed up, the search control goes way off the screen and the whole system lags down until you close point.

Someone in tech support got back to me.. here is the answer:

User profile.ini is now located under C:\documents and settings\your profile name\local settings\application data\calyx software\point\allusers

Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.
