I am receiving this error when I try to email a form.  I am using Calyx 6.1.  I tried to reinstall and repair calyx.  I also tried to run the install.exe file from the winpoint folder...no luck

Try this ...

Go to C | Winpoint | PDFInstall.exe and run this.  Did that work for you?

Thank you,

Eric J. Lilly

Thanks, but that didn't work.  It said Printer setup failed Error code: 1797 The printer driver is unknown.

Any more thoughts?

Try this ...

1) Disable all the startup items from msconfig (check out the KB article http://kb.calyxsupport.com/kb/article.php?id=344)
2) Restart your PC
3) Install the converter manually using install.exe
4) Re-enable your msconfig startup items and resetart the computer.

Let us know how you make out.

Thank you,

Eric J. Lilly

What OS are you running?  What version of Point, do you use PDS?  What sort of security is on the computer?  What kind of access does the user have to permissions, etc?

Thank you,

Eric J. Lilly

I'm using windows XP.  Calyx version 6.1a, not point data server. I'm the user and an administrator on the computer.  I'm not sure how to answer the security question.  We have a firewall at the server level and I have custom settings for internet securty.  We are running Symantec for anti virus.

Does this affect all computers or just one specific computer?  Has it ever worked in the past, for instance, with a previous version of Point?

Thank you,

Eric J. Lilly

It is only affecting my computer and it worked in previous versions of Calyx.  I think it even worked in my current version, but I didn't try it.  I noticed when printing from other programs into a pdf that I was getting errors that I could ok through and my form would still print (for instance reporting in Quickbooks).  The errors didn't start on the day that I installed the upgrade to 6.1...but I'm not sure what triggered it.

So your having problems when other programs try to generate a PDF?  What PDF programs do you have on your computer Adobe, etc?  And also under printers do you have any other converters such as an older AmyUni PDF or a CutePDF?  Maybe there is a conflict in interest.

Thank you,

Eric J. Lilly
