| | In order to create froms from my invetors, I take the PDF from their site, export it as a word document and import it into Calyx. Acrobat does a miserable job of exporting to word, and does it as a series of text boxes. I would much rather just add the PDF from and skip the import entirely. Is this possible? Is there a better way to do this that anyone has encountered? |

| I'll suggest PDF custom forms to our developers. You might also try LeadTools ePrintDriver it seems to have pretty good word out put. But this isn't an official endorsement. http://www.eprintdriver.com/

| | The simplest way to accomplish your task is to insert the pdf as a picture in a word document, then convert the word doc to a custom doc. Works Great. hth Bill V

| | In Adobe Acrobat select Save As, then select a graphics format like .Tif or .jpg. When you import to Word, the best way to set it up is: 1. Open the header of the Word document 2. Insert a text box and make it the size of the page (less .25 inch borders) 3. Import the graphics document you just saved from Adobe 4. Close the header You now have a background form on which you can place Point merge fields.

| I'm using ScanSoft OmniPage Pro. It cleanly converts PDFs to Word files with minimal reformatting. There is a post on the board where I converted the CHARM booklet from PDF to Word. I found OmniPage Pro the most accurate conversion tool. If you post your PDF doc here, I'll try to convert it to Word for you.
