| | Basically I need the printed date. I want the date this form prints to show up. I'm not sure which to pick, is it the open date? |

| | The open date can be either the origination date or the date the file was created, depending on how you use it. By default, it is the date that you created the Point file. The HMDA action date (field id 6217) is defined as the date that the loan file action was taken (originated, app approved, declined, etc.) but this may not be exactly what you're looking for (especially if processors aren't filling this form out properly.) The interviewer's signature date (field id 421) is the date the LO signed the app. This should be the origination date. Again, it depends on how it's used. In version 6.0+ this should always be the origination date. There are dates in the FNMA forms that can serve as the origination date but once again, it depends on how (and if) you're using them. The best answer to this question is to find out how originators and processors in your organization are setting up and maintaining the files. One good question to ask is, "How can I tell from the Point file that you're in 3 day compliance?"
