We just upgraded our network version of the Point Cardex to the PDS Enhanced Cardex.  Many of our users like to simply click the search button and have all Cardex records appear.  However, with the new PDS Enhanced Cardex we are limited to a maximum search amount of 500 entries.  I called Calyx Support and spoke with a PDS Support Tech. who advised that at this time there is no work around for this limit and suggested I post a comment on the message boards in hopes that the developers will provide either unlimited records to be returned or (which is my preference) the ability to set the maximum number of search entries returned.

Please advise if this issue will be addressed in a new release of either Point or PDS?

Thanks!

It should be 5000 records not five hundred.  You can change this in the pds services web.config file simply change key="MaxRecordsGetCardexEntries" value="5000" to a higher number.  Just keep in mind this setting will be lost when you upgrade.  Also You really don't want them to pull that many records your going to see PDS get bogged down.

The 500 is a client side limit.  you can add a CardexSearchRecordsMaxsection to your users  userprofile.ini under the pds section.

[PDS]

CardexSearchRecordsMax = 5

You should find the file in this location C:\Documents and Settings\{ logged in user name}\Local Settings\Application Data\Calyx Software\Point\AllUsers\{ point login name}
