I am very new to Point report  and I would like to find out how exactly Address Label report works. At first, I thought the report will created the address list then I can just export it to the Avery stickly label, but when I generate report, it is just a list of  the addresses.

I often mail out every Christmas cards, bday cards to my clients (borrowers). It took a lot of my time to go to Point get borrower current mailing address then type in mailing label. I just wonder whether there is a way from Point that I can just pull the mailing address from loan application and run the mailling report list then export to label paper. This will be save a lot of my time and it is also my way for advertisment too.:

We have a tech tip which describes how to make mailing labels in Microsoft Word using a mail merge with the output from a Point report:

My days of making labels and sticking them on envelopes are gone*...I use an Internet based printing company, Expresscopy.com, that takes my address list and prints the addresses right on to the postcards.

You can upload the address label right from the Calyx report, select or design a postcard, and place the order...They do all the labeling work.

I've made the broker and loan agents happy by being the first client to use their "variable data" setup so that each postcard is personalized: "Happy Birthday John, from your Loan Officer, Tim".

Here's the link to my portal on their site: http://www.expresscopy.com/partner/terrell/

If you want to know more, I'd be happy to share what I learned from the process. (Click on my member ID and send me an e-mail...)

*Disclaimer: As the IT consultant and IT manager, I didn't have to stick the labels on the envelopes, but I had to train every new admin assistant how to go through the mailing process--often having to do it repeatedly as they would forget between jobs. What a PITA.
