Hello All,

I am looking to see if anyone has made up a script for creating winpoint.ini files that setup individual user work folders in a Terminal Server enviromment

For instance, a user has never logged onto a Terminal Server logs in. I would like a script that creates their winpoint.ini file with an individual work folder such as C:\Winpoint\User\John.Smith

Ideally this would include some type of wildcard (%username%) for the work folder setup. Something like C:\Winpint\User\%username& would be nice!

I'm not sure how to get this and all of the other stuff like folders and stuff setup.

TYIA,

Eric

I've created a vbs script that does something very similar. It's not commented well, but if you e-mail me at isupport @ polimortgage.com, I will send you what I have.

The main difference from what your doing is that I give every user on my TS server a copy of Point and point them to it. You can add a username to the file and populate any item in the winpoint.ini file you want. The scripts also searches for the winpoint.ini in a couple locations...
