| | Hi, One of my originators is receiving this error message when trying to email a data file: PCF "The attachment containing data file could not be created" We're using Outlook 2003, XP Pro SP2, and Point 5.2. Noone else is having the problem. Thanks |

| | The error means that Point was unable to create a temporary file is created in \Winpoint\Work when e-mailing PCF files. 1) make sure the user actually has a \Winpoint\Work folder. 2) make sure the user has permissions to write and delete files from the Work folder. You can do a quick test by manually creating a text file in Winpoint\Work, then deleting the file.

| What happens if you save the pcf file locally by clicking "Save as PCF" on the email Point Data File dialog box instead of clicking send?

| HLCADMIN (1/12/2006) Try renaming the Point.pcf file in the c:\winpoint\work directory then try to email.....
Had this problem with a user today. Error message comes up with both "Sent to" and "Save as PCF"
The solution above worked!
Thanks
