Hi,

  I followed the instructions to fix the Cardex error after upgrading to 5.3 as explained here:

0234 Error: Cardex Error Getting Next Record Id...Data type mismatch in criteria expression...

I deleted the offending row but I still receive the error> I also receive the

0234 Error: Cardex Error Getting Next Record Id...Data type mismatch in criteria expression...

Followed those instructions but again I have the error. The only thing I noticed is when I open in Access it says it's in Access 2000 compatibility mode not Access 2.0

Any takers...

There is still probably non numeric data in the recid column.  Our cardex works with the newer access versions. only old installs will still have the 2.0 db the new ones will be on xp or 2003.

You were correct. It appears that some version used a naming convention vs. a numeric in teh recid.
